Is anyone else annoyed that almost all freerolls are during work hours? I can only play the one on Saturday due to my work schedule. It would be nice if some started a few hours later!

Just a thought, want to see where everyone else's head is it worth this.

To what poker room and freerolls are you referring in particular?

You mean the cards chat freeroll on PS?

I´m pretty sure that even for canadiens there must be somewhere something which start at local time 22:00 or later like it is with most of us here in europe

The previous person asked the question correctly. You are from canada. I am from the European part of the planet. For example, it’s even a little late for me to play at pokerstars. If you get to the last table, then it turns out 2 a.m. But to work the next day in the morning. Since all the players from different places on the planet, the orientation of the freeroll time is made for most players. I think that the answer from the moderators will be so.

Not that I've found (I only play pokerstars). All freerolls start between 12pm and 3pm monday to friday. There is a casino org and a the cards chat one on the weekend that I can play but that's about it.

Yes i am from canada I guess I should have stated that. I get that is the best for the European countries, I just think it would be fair to have at least one or two days a week that start even two hours later. 4 or 5pm central time would allow people to get some poker in during the week. Just my opinion though.

Yes I think with the 7/8 hours difference it is really not optimal for you, but any other time would be very hard for Europe.

If we do evening in Canada, it is already very late night in Europe and fewer people would compete for the same prize pool.

What about acr/betonline/intertops/sportsbetting and whatever any extra poker site which is probably designed for (south and) north america ... There something must start in the evening,no? Not exactly sure but in some of these sites few cardchat events start as late as 20:00 local time (i doubt that there would be any cc event anywhere which starts later for your region lol) ...

I've tried a few different sites but poker stars I find has the least amount of problems with connection or other issues. Any suggestion for reliable sites. I also fear putting my credit card information in on to many sites.

Thanks!

I would think it is hard to get a timeslot that makes everyone happy, as sites like ACR have players from all over the world it would take 10 different tournament time for someone who host a private tourney to make it work for everyone. There seem to be a pretty good amount of free rolls on the site at different times. I would probaly just quit my job if the scheduled times are not convenient, or ask your employer if they could work arounf the ACR tourney schedule. Good luck.

It's unfortunately tough to satisfy everyone since online poker is a global game. Even for a poker platform like ACR which is my site of choice, had I not been resigned to working from home during this time period, I would have to miss a majority of the freerolls I would have an opportunity to be a part of. Perhaps to satisfy more people different days of the week could be at different times. Sure, it might inconvenience those who are fine with the current times, but it would open up the opportunity for more players to get a chance to play.

Not all of the players are from US or Canada, especially if on-line poker is forbidden in USA...
So we (from Europe) can play...
But of cos it's not good for other players to be at work this time(

I do not like the fact that most freerolls have a very small number of prizes.

That's why I suggest that theybshouldnt be at the same time every day. If they were at different times on different days it would ensure that more people from different countries and work schedules could also play.

5k people play freerolls, it’s very difficult to win there, it’s better to replenish some money and play at micro limits calmly

The cost to playing free-rolls, and it's very severe, is the amount of time that you have to invest in playing free-roll tournaments. It can be very depressing, and feel very anti-climatic, when you progress to the end of a free-roll tournament and win, say, ten dollars after, say, four hours of play. Ten dollars for four hours doesn't represent a productive use of time. If it does, a person has serious problems.

Regarding the time - with pokerstars and CC being international sites with members from all over the world there is simply no way to choose time and format that will suit all players. The only option would be to have several freerolls per day with time suitable for Europe, Asia and America respectively but this will require more money. We already get very good value from these freerolls so no matter when they are played i am ok. :)

Regarding the cost - freerolls are the only way to bypass rake and play completely free minded risking nothing and having the possibility to win few $. If you compare with micro stakes SNG with approximately 200 players (comparable to CC freerolls) you will see that with the SNG you risk money, pay rake and you can not win more than from CC freeroll. So for me CC freerolls are good way to practice, have fun and build initial bankroll for free. If you have the money and skills to play for higher stakes than low micro you don't need freerolls and you can just deposit and play.
