The amount of people I see on here and other sites that say they only play free rolls... Its nuts... How can u get better if u just play freerolls? As soon as a player has to go or need a shit or whatever they just shove all in. Or they will call u down with there mid pair regardless of the boardDon't get me wrong I'm sure there is good players in them but people just don't take it seriously.. No risk...little reward for hours of poker.
Sorry too piss in the freeroll prade but it's true.

You can get better at playing freerolls by playing freerolls. The problem people encounter is that once they deposit and enter a 5 dollar mtt. At this point, the player has no experience in real money poker tournaments and probably have a false sense that they are good at mtts bc they are killing it in freerolls. Almost all of their freeroll mtt experience is useless and they will struggle.

The game does not change according to value, even in the higher values there are people who play poorly, the business is always to be playing correct to fall less in the variance of the game.

I think that if a person plays only free freerolls where to win is very difficult and it comes to the prizes that this person will be much easier to achieve victory in the usual paid tournaments

the freeroll in general has this problem 3 thousand, 6 thousand player being 80% will play like crazy, all in with anything! this is annoying, and leaves the lousy metagame to play! I'm generally disappointed in the freeroll !!

Look at these players in live poker, what they will be from themselves.

Freerolls have a totally different technique and set of skills over regular tournaments. It is not easy to master, but persistence is key. People play a wider range and it is difficult to put anybody on a particular hand. Because they play more starting hands, its often impossible to know when someone has hit something really wild. You need to play a mix of high variance hands intermittently along with tight play in order to supplement your stack so that you can keep up with the rest.

If time management is important to you, your going to want to play very loose at the beginning. You will either chip up and get a decent stack, or you will be knocked out before investing too much time into the tournaments. Freerolls are fun to play and if you play them right they can pay off.

freerolls are for sure land mines, but normally once you get pass the first 30 mins most of the reckless play subsides and normal play takes over.

The Freeroll is really a tournament where there is less commitment, I play differently.
We have to understand that if there is less commitment, we must also play differently.
I still do not have the ideal formula to win, I really like the type of investment.
I think I'm improving on my hand analysis and I can learn a lot from this type of tournament.

So do not play more freeroll open at all, only those with passwords that enter less bingueiros. It is a terror to play hours with bingueiros.

Ofc some people don't play freerolls seriously.
I'm pretty loose the first hour in big freeroll. If I bust early so what, it's free.
And if I get lucky I will atleast have a nice stack and a bigger chance to actually win something.

There is still plenty you can learn by playing freerolls. Not to mention plenty of money to be won.

I have to agree with a couple of the posts here. For me if I don't have something at risk (like cash),then I tend to play a lottttttttttt looser than I ever would at a real money table.

Freerolls are a different kind of beast. I enjoy the challenge of the crazy players you have to avoid. I also love to just play stupid if I feel like it, with zero risk.

It's really dificult to improve the poker skills in freerolls, but they help to improve the patience and the basics of the game...beyond that, the CCs freerolls look really good, and this should help you to get better at all!

Well: I think that freerools are just like that!Generally bingo at the begining but the CC freerools aren't bingo's all the time.I percieved that the CC freerools have more experienced players that don't do that. That's why I think CC have the best freeroll to play.

So how come, that by the end of the battle, almost always the same players are in top 30, FT.To win a freerollbattle is part of the game. The lucky fishes with their bigstacks will stop to play, being taken out little by little with calculated bet sizes and none of them will ever win a tournament. And it is serious, This "I can afford to shove all in, I am the BEST" behaviour will not stop in higher leagues, only the reasons may change. No one throws a Million Dollar Tournament away for dumping. But maybe someone decided to be the most aggressive player today. How do you know, what is running around in some people's minds?:alberteinI totally agree there is not much space for betting scenarios, bluffing or reading opponents hand. It is more about knowing opponents and their range.
