So I’ve just got finished playing my $400 garenteed MTT and come 3rd.

On my last hand, I was stuck on a decision.

Villain - $250k
Hero - $130
Blinds 1500/3000(250)

We’re 3 handed. Villain opens on the button to 7k, I 3 bet with my ATo to 28k. He calls. We see a flop

Flop comes out 39J all clubs, I have the ace of clubs in my hand. So I have one over + a backdoor straight and nut flush draw.

I bet 26k, he shuvs...

In this situation, do I call?

Anyways, I called he had K9o with the king on clubs. Calculating it after, I had 60% equity over second pair. But was it a +EV call without knowing his cards.

The pay jumps were about $20 at this point too, I ended up cashing out at $65 for $3 tournament.

I’m not mad at my play. Just wondering if it was right.

for sure calling there. 9 clean outs for sure, 3 aces prolly good as well, and best case 2 10's are good(counting the 10c is the flush combo's) and a BD str8 draw.

You require around 34-35% equity vs his shoving range on the flop to be profitable.

Based on the range I gave him that imo he might shove the flop with, it's a call. I show you with 43-44% equity vs a range that he calls a 3bet pre with and jams over your cbet on the flop with.

JJ,99,33,AJs,A9s,A3s,KcQc,AJo,KcQd,KcQh,KcQs,KcJd,KcJh,KcJs,Kc9d,Kc9h,Kc9s is the combos i gave him. worst case you are up against a set and still have 30% equity.

I think he can play like this with a ton of KcX and pair plus Kc flush draw, sets ect.
