Hey everyone , I need some help here! Did I take the correct decission by shoving?? I want someone to justify to me which is the correct play in this spot.

https://www.boomplayer.com/22403732_5EDD56BBC8

the prizepool was something like: 1st $123.88
2nd $80.16
3rd $52.40

Player2 was playing pretty decent the whole tournament, But can I muck AK there due to the ICM?

ps: I decided to shove there to apply max pressure to Player2 and to fold any AT+ , or any smaller pair like 99+ but it wasn't a sweet outcome.
ps2: I finished 3rd

PT4 in this particular spot says FOLD , I may manage to download ICMIZER as well, but don't know if it is easy to use it. If I have any questions i won't hesitate to bother you.

Thanks in advance :p

Me personally I would muck there. Just to get a potential pay jump is worth the fold in my opinion but

Having proper game! You could not play anyway! here distributed cooler) Even if you've played through the call - on the flop you have not reset)

You were in 2nd place on 80$. If you had lost and ended up in 3rd you would have lost (80-52) 28$. If you win that hand, you are a huge favourite to win the tournament and you would gain (123-80) 43$. I think its worth the risk knowing that you are more than likely going to be behind chip leader but had a chance of hitting straight, or trips.

The flat from the guy in front of you should mean he has a super strong hand and he's trying to get you to call or raise, I think most people in his spot would shove with AQ or worse, and QQ or worse, so i think we can fairly confidently put him on AA or KK here and find a fold. And if you fold you're still either 2 of 3 with a big chip lead on 3rd, or 2 of 4 with a big chip lead on 3rd and 4th. I think I'd take my chances with those odds, rather than push here. Although, it's easy to say that once you see that he turns up aces, I might feel differently if we didn't have the spoiler.

Yeap I believe that ICM pressure dictates to find the fold there, not even calling, as also plyto777 mentioned it's hard to fold there post flop. Let's be honest I had top top there. So After all these, taking into account that this paid jump would be a vital boost to my BR it was a clear fold!

That would have been a tough lay down preflop. But seeing how sb just called off half his stack he definitely wasn't folding for the rest of his chips.

I don't know.. If I were the sb player and I had ie KQs or a weak Ax and have just called and the player in the BB shoved, I would have folded because of the potential pay jump. I would left behide my 640k in order to manuever later. What do you think?

With KQs or Ax I would play that way to, but if the bb player had significantly less chips or If I had enough information on them I could make the call with KQs or A10+
When I play at final tables I dont stress over the pay jumps, I play to get all the chips by out playing players and hopefully winning the occasional flip.

I think i would play exacly the same way. I always shove AK and AQ to make others fold. You were on final table so i think i would fold that only on the bubble but when youre on ft you play to win it!

Player2 flatting for more than half of his stack should mean he has a super strong hand. Given you have AKo, I feel like folding would be reasonable. Him calling more than half his stack means it is super hard for him to fold a reshove.
But it is a hard spot to be in

I think it's a shove because if you win this hand you have 5 to 1 chip lead heads up and you are very likely to win the tournament and if you lose you'll still likely get 2nd or 3rd place which isn't that bad.

unless this guys the biggest nit, i would shove.. but it's so strange for him to flat. I would shove here almost every time because even if you bust, if the other player does as well you still get 2nd place, and it will be hard to win HU with your stack if you fold and if you win you basically bag 1st.
