Hello Guys ! Have a nice day everyone !How often do you get to the final table of any 200+ players tournament ? Out of 100 games what's your approximate final table rate ? How often do you reach the final table or even win a tourney due to lucky survival ? I know that during long tourneys it is very common to have a few big lucky moments and the one I've watched on the Sunday Million replay was the best demonstation of it when the future winner of the tourney went all-in (he was a short stack at the final table of 9 players) pre-flop from the early position with QTo against AK, and he survived due to a lucky 10 on the river. The river which is 150K bucks worth. Sometimes it's all about guts and luck, I guess.

I'm strictly freerolls for now until I can make a bankroll from them. But in freerolls I can FT about 5 out of a hundred. But probably 3 out of those 5 involve me being short/mid stacked most of the way and surviving without the lucky hands, so quality over quantity I guess?

I think 5% is a good number for final tables.

I think that of 20 played tournaments I get to a final table about 3 or 4 times, more or less that's my rank, regardless of the number of players that enter the tournament, and if fewer players enter my range of final tables

Hello
Final table frequency is about 25% for me.

As I dont play a lot.

Close to the money is about 35%

Knocked out early is 40%.

I wonder whats a good average for other players.

Assuming it's a nine-handed tournament, the average player will FT with a frequency of:

9 / Number of Entrants

For example, in a 90-man, the average player final tables 10% of the time. If you're a good player you're more likely to final table. So a good winner might final table a 200-person tournament 6-7% of the time instead of the 4.5% predicted by the formula above.

A given time you play, whether you reach the FT is based heavily on luck. If you play a very large number of tournies, then the percent of the time you FT is entirely based on your skill. So no excuses! :)

seems like you don't have much experience in MTTs.
if you say you reach the FT 15-20% of the time, regardless if there are 200 or 2.000 entries, you are just a dreamer or a luckbox :D

same here. i don't want to Sound jealous, but those numbers are not realistic in the Long term if you Play MTTs with hundreds or thousands of entries.
also 35% ITM Looks like a small sample where you run good. if you check some pros or high roller, you usally see ITM% of ~ 15-18%, barely anyone with 20+

this sounds like a realistic numer to someone who Plays frequently

It obviously defend on the field size, and in 2.000 player fields it will be roughly 10 times more rare than in 200 player fields. Also its not realistic even for good players to run significantly above expectations. Maybe they can final table a bit more often, especially in events like freerolls, where some of the competitors are not even sitting in. But its not like, anyone in the world can play 2.000 player MTTs and final table one out of ten. Its just not going to happen except over incredibly small samples.

Usally play 6max With around 20-60 person entrants and make the final table about 15 percent of the time - Mas o menos

I have yet made it to the final table just 9-10 in the micro-stakes freerolls and would like to participate in the $ 20 + buy-in but has no capability. :(

It really depends on the size of the fields.

On those small fields like under 500 players I make 1 around every 40 games.

On the larger fields like over 3K I can go many months and 100's of games without making a final table and then boom I make 2 final table one same day then I have to wait early a year and another 200-300 games before another one.

Also I play different coming down the stretch I don't play for final table I play to accumulate chips and put my self in better position to get one of the top 3 spots than just just play tight and hold on for 8 or 9. So I get a lot teens finishes.

Unfortunately, lately, I rarely manage to go to the final table. I think it is because I lack the experience. Last month I played about 30 tournaments and only once I went to the final table.

There is not an easy answer to this. I really depends on the size of the field. If 200 player exactly you would on ave final table 4.5% of the time For 400 players it would be 2.25%. If you happen to final table around that % of time for the amount of players you are playing you are doing fine. It not about being ahead or behind the number but in the area is all you are looking for.

I dropped out of the tournament many times before the final table. This is a very bad feeling. At the top of the table, the players are at first. But great excitement is the final table and a joy to get to the top 3!

on 30 part on CC I manage to reach the final table between 5 or 7 times a month. this number can of course increase or decrease according to my style of play. When I can play my A game generally I stand between 3rd and 6th place. the variance counts for 60% at the end of the game and it is rarely on my side. For the other MTT parts that I play sometimes it's another story :)

Not so much..

I play mostly freebie tourneys, so my FT % is pretty low. I've done my share of TAG grind, stay alive, shove when necessary. I find that being more aggressive, hasn't lowered my FT% greatly. I am consistent 1-5 %, tops, due to high number of freebie entrants.

Being more aggressive, it's more rewarding, don't feel like I'm barely hanging on, watching the big stacks get further and further away from my position.l
