things have been tough sledding lately in terms of breaking through to the final table. while im getting down there i just always seem to lose that big race necessary to ensure my status. I was 3rd in chips in a super turbo 3 k the other day in pushed qq from the highjack as binds were 5/10 k...i had 150 k....and small blind wakes up with kk....and was 1 of the 2 players with more chips....bam 14th place...should i have been more carefull there idk? ...any advice

You just run into a cooler there, nothing you could have done about it. I shove TT+, AQo in that spot all day, knowing I'll have the best hand the majority of the time. Don't be results oriented because one hand didn't go your way, just focus on playing your best everyday and you'll continue to FT. GL :)

There is no Final table !!! EVery table is final , One bad decision costs everything !!

Play the Hand perfectly , Only hands Matter not tables ! .

I used to be like it once , but now i learnt . Every table is final , take it of your mind & if you have better decisions and timining to get to top table :)

Good luck

always good analyzed once the tournament ends, notice how you played until you removed .. I saw a video yesterday, end table 3 players. AA against AK, the flop is J, 9, 6 .. the pair of AA has 98% against 2% of AK the turn brings a K and the river another K. .. to imagine the face of the player with AA ... so is poker ..

At the final table the best way is to wait until some other players get knockouted and not to play each hand. Its not like on a normal table where you can afford to look at the flop. Its way more difficult to play on the final table in comperison to a normal table.
But with qq i would also go all in.

its all part of tournaments, you either get lucky and make it or you end up running into a big hand/get sucked out on. unfortunately you just ran into KK with your QQ and there's not much you can do about it.

I disagree. While you would certainly love to see a flop with QQ when you are sitting big stacked and close to the FT, there is no sane reason to push this pre, nor any need to. It may be that the situation gets your stack in the middle pre, but in order to do well in tourney's you will have to be making some big laydowns. Laydowns which at first look very -EV, but in the end prove good.

I would have just called from the hijack, feeling good that I had a decent shot at scooping the blinds, and any minor blowback from the button. Willing to call smaller raises, but less willing to call that shove from the SB.

Point is that near the FT bubble, do not be falling in love with your QQ's.
