final 21 of $2.50-180 man. Am I jamming too wide here from bb vs button open?

Hi guys, been thinking about this hand since waking up. At the time, given the overlay in the pot and my stack size, I didn't think it was awful...? Maybe it was..! Villain on the button had been playing vpip 22 pfr 16 if that helps.

cheers

nah... he would try to steal you anyways, you had a reasonable hand, since i play a LOT of these i know when ITM you gotta chip up either way and it was a good spot there, unlucky for you he had an A.

depends entirely on how much he is stealing from the BTN, I play a lot of these tournaments and 10bbs isn't as short as it is in regular tournaments and you'll usually be close to the average stack, I definitely shove here with like 7bbs or less but I probably just pass on the KJ with 10bbs. People might tell you different but I treat 5bbs in turbos like I treat 10bbs in regular speed and it works for me.

Id say somthing about 55+ A4s+ A7o+ K9s+ KTo+ QJs

So it was a just fine shove ICM wise definately

Especialy since your the BB and pretty short I like this play even tho myself Id probably wait a few more hands.

well you don't really have much in the way of fold equity here, he's playing kinda tight, so i think he's probably decent, so i doubt he raise/folds here much at all. it would be thin no matter what here imo, without looking into it further i'd opt for a fold since we are likely going to showdown a lot.

imo it wouldn't really be wrong no matter what you did there. some history with the guy would help with decision making tho. better luck next time! :icon_thum

cheers for the feedback guys, I like your reasoning old greek dude regarding turbo's v reg speed 10bb's, something I will def take on board, so cheers. I thought it was a really tough spot. I ran it through the free version of icmizer and it told me in this spot I should only be jamming 99+ AQs+ and that my shove with KJ was like -2.7 ev. I did feel villain was opening super wide though, which the software doesn't take into account. As Wizzim suggests though, I probably had very little fold equity here, especially as the bubble had burst not so long since! Not that anyone really feels the effects of the bubble in a $2.50 game...ha. I didn't hate it, but looking back I probably had a few more orbits left in me to find a better spot. Live & learn!! That's why we're all here...

without any more stats, think with the stack depth JJ is good enough to get it in in that spot
