Good Morning all,

I am having some interesting conversations with players at present both live and online with how they manage loose, aggressive players at their tables.
I think firstly its important to balance your emotions if you have a persistent player who plays a lot of pots and also if they seem to be targeting your big blind.
Look at their ranges at showdown, make notes - remember having a LAG with a big stack at your table can be extremely profitable as well as dangerous..

Tell me how you manage these type of players, what frustrates you, what skills do you employ with bet sizing, using your position and image at the table..
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this..

Good luck to you all

Good topic, not enough experience to really help on the subject but it sure could use a bump. I don't meet many LAG, mostly fish, TAG or call stations (no sharks in limits I play yet)... when I do I wait for good hands, hope they are on my left so I'll New York backraise him after limping and getting 3bet, and if they're on my right I hope they get stacked quick or that he/me get moved to other table.

LAG is incredibly difficult to play well. Most players think they are a LAG player but they are just a fish playing way too many hands. LAG requires you to be able to get good reads on players, pick your spots, and know where you are at post-flop.

I hate playing against people that play it well (most don't). The answer to LAG is certainly TAG. I'm looking to play 1 big pot, not getting drawn into their multiple small pots with marginal hands like KQ or AJ. When I do get into a hand I would be overly aggressive and even look to play for stacks if possible. The strength of LAG is post flop. While they raise a lot of hands, you need to see a lot of reasonably priced flops with the hope you out-flop a tighter player, or you push a weaker player out if they miss the flop. If you are a LAG player, it becomes very unprofitable to get into large pots with marginal hands, so that is really what you need to force them to do.

I simply call with strong hands and let them toss their chips in.

I think there's a big difference between really good LAG's and those who throw too many chips around with marginal hands. The really good LAG looks loose and might be in a lot of pots raising before the flop but they won't put the real money in post flop unless they really have a good hand so be careful.

I couldn't agree with this any more! A solid LAG is one if the best play-styles you'll ever come up against in nlhe.(much better than TAGs and wayyyyy better than NITs).Beware of the LAGS

Just let them bluff you, or try uncommon lines against them
