Just curious what stats some of you tournament players find most useful? It would help me out a lot.

If your opinion is that a HUD is pointless for mtts/sngs, feel free to share.

Thanks to whoever responds:icon_thum

The only ones I really look at are VPIP/PFR/AF. I also have M added to it to save me some calculation time.

Someone else may be able to help you more.

imo I'd go without the pref limp % just because if anyone open limps I peg them for a bad player automatically lol

I don't think you should label players bad for limping, I think it is very profitable to limp your pairs 22-99 (9handed) you are only playing these hands to set mine, so why open raise and make villains/fish fold when you should keep them in the pot to hit something, this is what I have been taught by a sng specialist, of-course this only applies to the early stages.

Basic:VP$IP, Fold %, PFR, FL c-bet%, M, Total AF and Att to Steal.
But I personaly don't take to much attention to the stats until antes kick of, and the total AF and att to steal in late stages

For MTT's i'd keep it real basic. For STT's it depends on the games you play and the amount of games you play. If you play a lot, and of the same game, a detailed HUD will come in handy, if you don't, then just keep it simple as possible.

My MTT hud is simply, VPIP/PFR/3B/Hands.

Since your unlikely to really get any sort of sample on anyone playing in the low stakes games, there really isn't much point getting anything else. You can add a few more if you like, but most of the time i'd say it's detrimental. Use common sense and try to make assumptions about players, i'd think that would be way more accurate than some of the stats mentioned above.

So when you limp I pretty much know you are set mining, and can then put you on a set if you show any interest post flop. You do realise how bad this is don't you?

2x to 3x pre for any hand you are playing is the only way to play for me.....

Have a look at the Advanced Tourney HUD in PT3. From memory:

No of hands
M

VPIP
PFR
3B

Donk bet
C bet Flop
C bet Turn

Then all the stats are coloured by another related stat: eg 3B is coloured by fold to 3B.

Always seemed a good balance for MTTs to me.

That must be my first post in a very, very long time. :)
