I am beginning to understand all the concepts required to juke profit in between others making them kill each other off for me but I am truly struggling with heads-up poker and feel that either I play too tight and get blinded out or play too loose and get called out by betting into traps.

I love heads up poker, used to play a lot of this, key is to massively open your range and be prepared to play almost any two cards dealt. Watch a video on YouTube of Olivier Busquet winning a heads up match, one of the greatest wins ever and really gives an insight into how this part of the game should be played.

When I loosen up, I lose because I bet into their good hands.

A tournament player does not often play HU, but this is where the main money of the tournament is stored. You should practice playing HU and carefully studying the game on ICM.

For me is heads up games most of the time slow play. Good hands, don't raise all the time and then when you got him you hit! But as Andrew says, train train and train and learn from your mistakes.
