When you are playing tournament and receive an AA and the hand ends in All in pre flop and the opponent is 72 and ends up winning the hand even not eliminating taking a good part of your stack as having emotional control to continue the tournament? I have great difficulty in controlling myself and not putting all my game to lose. And how do you act?

You can not controll yourself 100% of the time you are not a robot. If you just stop playing at some point maybe you will save some money. So dont be afreid to quit some times.

Hi there. After a bad beat ,the best solution is to make a break of your tournament.Go drink some water and try to relax. There is no need of thinking that hand .Emotions and poker is not good combination while playing poker.

You must take some time, get up, and breathe, then come back.

before the start of the tournament it is important to adjust, nothing should distract you, you need to eat, drink, go to the toilet, it's important, you need to concentrate on the game, you can not go to the toilet within an hour before the break, you lose the thread, you need to concentrate on the game, nothing should distract you, then if you must and AA throw off feeling threatened

We need to switch attention to the drawing of the next game. And also it is necessary to remember that there is no combination of cards that guaranteed 100% win! Remember there are no pairs of cards that could allow you to relax in the game of poker ! Once you've learned that, it'll be easier to accept losing.

When it stops being fun, time to get up and take a walk.

it is worth to miss a couple of hands to cool to remember that this is poker (which we all love) and punish your opponent for patience)))

When I lose most of my stack with AA, I start to get nervous, knowing that this is the end for me. But I'm working on control. I'm trying to make it so that I can be calm even after losing 80% of the stack. But it is difficult, especially in the bubble and pre-final.

Oh man.. That sucks. It used to really get to me too. Still does a bit, but I've learned to control that aspect of the game.

Look up and work on the mental side of poker. There are a ton of resources out there for that.

Once you sit back and realize.. That even 7-2 off will crack aces 1.2 times out of ten, you'll start to feel more relaxed about it.

There's 8.8 times out of ten you'll win! Plus.. You really really want these players shoving such nonsense at the tables. In order to do that, you'll have to give up a few BB's every once in awhile to keep them interested in the game.

hmm tournaments put me on edge play cash less pressure more chill also its easier to weigh yourself up so to say against the competition know who you can bully chip away at and who you gotta avoid tournaments are weird theres skill and strategy in them obviously but the variance in them is mindboggling honestly, but saying that tilting in cash games is murder for your bankroll tilting in tournies mmm not that big a deal obvs depending buyin level etc

It really does piss me off when hands like this happen and I'm ashamed to admit I do let this take a toll on my playing. If a bad beat like this takes most of my stack I usually just go all-in next hand because I'm so angry and just want to either be back where I was or be done. I know this is a terrible playing strategy but I just can't seem to help myself in these types of situations.

yh what guy above me said also pokers fun! its a game and it is gambling whatever way you want to look at it palying a game of incomplete information is gambling (want pure skill game play chess dude) pokers more like mario kart ha or super smash bros game where items specially with mariokart can chage outcome dramatically ha where luck helps even the playing field or so it appears but better players win more often/regularly and get there hands paid off better bluff better than others and get away from hands there deffo behind and cant bluff profitably a later street scare due to fact little to no fold equity(dudes a station). point being pokers still gambling to me personally thats what drew me to the game to begin with it was the gambling aspect of it then after playing i realised its definitely a skill game too and i fell in love with it particualrly cash games for some reason they appealed to me as each time i did something wrong i noticed it and it was so clear where i was ****ing up and where i was doing the right thing if that makes sense... so it was and still is a continual learning process.

You shoved the aces or did you call 72s bet of all in?

I have never seen 72 call when aces shove preflop. I hardly ever not shove with aces preflop. It doesn't do well against too many calls. All in usually gets just 1 or 2 calls. Usually by hands that you have really dominated such as ak or lower pocket pair.

I think badbeats are worse when you know you're not playing your best game. But the good thing about not playing your best is you can tell when that starts to happen. So at that point you just stop playing!

You have to keep reminding yourself (that's poker) and keep to your game plan because your AA will probably win the next 5 times in a row . You got the bad one out of the way . lol good luck

I think most important poker lesson I have got from this video clip.
That taught me to learn always something new from every failed hand.
Just forget everything you can't control and work for those things that you can handle.

Losing to idiots sucks. One day you will have a crap hand and get lucky and kick aces ass. On that day, enjoy winning.

It is important to keep your emotions in control under those exact type of situations.

You must first realize you did nothing wrong. You put your money in good and most of the time you would win that hand. It is simply bad luck and sooner or later it happens to everyone.

You must secondly realize that you cannot give up. You must take your remaining chips and press forward. You still have the same goal in mind, winning the tournament. Nothing has changed.

I clearly remember losing a hand in a DON SNG. It crippled me. 310 chips left and the blinds were 50-100... 3 BBs left. I stayed focused and cashed!

Good luck.

I tend to get frustrated in that situation, but at the end of the day; you want that action all day long. It will work out in our favor in the long run
