For whatever reason, making the transition from live MTT's to online MTT's has been a bit of a struggle. I feel that I play well when it comes to shove/fold ranges preflop. However, for whatever reason I am struggling to do well in the online tourneys when the blinds are getting high, and I have a mid/big stack. I usually play very well late in tourneys when I'm short stacked. In general, I think online poker takes a hell of a lot more patience. I think I play fairly well for the most part, it just seems like for as long as I've been playing online tourney's, I haven't managed to figure out how to play great when it counts the most. I usually can get pretty close to the money, but I usually spew off my mid/big stacks right before the money. I realize and understand the importance to continue to play aggressively with your premier starting hands, but I'm wondering if I might be doing something wrong. Unfortunately I don't have any hand examples to share right now, but I will start keeping track of hands that I'm losing late in these tournaments and post them on this thread. I also need to have some kind of hud, but I dont really have the money to buy pt4 or hem. Any recommendations on a free/cheap program would be great. Thanks, I'm looking forward to getting better and correcting any mistakes I may be making.

i play live alot as well cash tables and mtt,s-one thing i noticed is that online your seeing alot more hands per hour than live maybe 3-1 ratio-so when the blinds start getting high play postion-tighten up your opening raise range-and be agressive when you have a good hand-and hope that lady luck is on your side-if your short stacked late in mtt your options are a bit limited-if you find yourself short stacked late alot i might work on that part of your game the middle part of mtt-there are some great utoobe vids out there check out grisped poker utoobe vids i know for sure he has mtt vids -best of luck to you youll break thru very soon

youtube is full of MTT reviews, jonathan little and gripsed to name a few. you just need to find the one where the player is similar to your style of play. changing a style takes some effort and money :p

I kind of find gripsed to be a little bit of a nit. I really do like jonathan littles style for sure.
