pokerstars freeroll. Out of the original 3400 entrants, there were about 460 left. Blinds at 400/800 with 50 ante (I think, not positive as I didn’t save the hand history). I had about 7800 left.

Anyway, I am on BB with Kc3c. Limps all around, so I checked. 5 handed flop. AcKdJc. Nut flush draw. I checked, check, check, CO raises to 2400, BTN reraised to 4800. I can’t call here, so either all in or fold.

I moved all in, thinking I’d get at least two callers (possibly more) and I was getting better than 2:1 including the limps and antes. A chance here to more than triple up and go deep into the tourney. If I just folded, with the blinds/antes climbing fast, I may not last much longer anyway.

A gamble worth taking here?

With all the limpers in pre, there's probably enough in the pot already to just ship it in on the flop (if one or two players I'd more likely check-raise allin ).

id say yes, because that would have given you enough chips to try to make it to the money(entries) and 8000 isnt, its a rick worth taking IMO, especially being a freeroll, where it didnt cost you any money.

you are using the math wrong to justify what you are doing.
yes you are getting the odds to call but that's irrelevant you are still going into a situation as an obvious underdog and using the math to justify why you should proceed. the math at this point essentially justifies any move on your part. fold prf, fold flop.

I may have done the same thing... depends on who I'm in the hand with.

I was on BB with a free look at the flop.

With less than 10bb's you'd suggest folding MP & NFD here?

This is a gamble worth taking because you are the short stack. Already somewhat committed to the pot, you may never know if you get a chance to win with a decent hand or draw and your chip stack will be weakened. So you would have had to push in the next 3 or 4 cycles around the table. Good luck on your future tournaments.
