re: Poker & early position final table SnG 45 players turbo
Yes, when you're down to 10BBs, your shoving range is pretty much the same in EP if you're on the final the table or a table right before it. Though, I think ICM could play a crucial part in your shoving range against severely short stack once you are on the final table, but for the most part, the range is very similar. Whether to push/fold is dependent on our stack and not how far away from the money/final table you are.
Those saying to tighten up, hope players get knocked-out before you, and you can fold your way into the money/FT is giving such poor advice. Min-cashing is so insignificant to your BR that bubbling before it should not even bother you. Your goal should be to win and you need to take the best approach to get to the final table with a decent stack in order to win it and tightening up isn't it.
Keep in mind that MTTs are so top heavy that setting yourself up to make the final table with a decent stack not only increases your chance of winning, but gives you a much more significant ROI. That win will offset all of the bubbles you've had in setting yourself up for the win. Lets say you play a $1 MTT with a $200 for 1st prize pool. Even if you bubble 45 games in a row setting yourself up to reach FT with a big stack, a win will offset those loses. You'd have to min-cash a large number of MTTs in a row just to make the same ROI, which is impossible.
