Dude how hard it is to win a tournament

At first you get excited you see your game going well.
And when you lose almost all your chips what is your reaction?
I almost broke my computer kkkkkkkk

if this is a stupid move for example 72 against AA, then yes, I want to smash not only the computer, but the whole apartment

Broke one netbook and one mobile while ago. Now, after a badbeat or such, I keep throwing my mobile on some soft surface, like pillows [emoji4]

You can go years without winning a tournament.Though you are suppose to play the prize pool not just first place. Use sharkscope to look at c._darwin2 graph he went year without winning a tournament and he is the best player on the internet.

Its hard and you are gonna need some luck along the way (several times) to the final table, the larger the field the harder it gets.

Absolutely agree with you. Gold words. In tournaments, the main thing is to regularly get into the prize money, in order to always remain at a profit. And victory will come for you sooner or later.

I don't play much. So I rarely get to prizes. But to crash my computer because of the defeat in the tournament? No, this will never happen! Poker for my entertainment, not a means of earning a living.

Hi, at what limits are you playing now, if this is not a secret?

I used to be nervous a long time ago
Now I'm getting used to losing a lot of hands from a weaker card
I also got used to unreal river card at poker stars
Now nothing can surprise and make me nervous anymore!

It's very difficult to win a tournament especially where a lot of players are registered, but the most important is patience and persistence, it does not have to be much annoyed when you lose to the tournament, head up and try again and the result will surely come ...

I've sworn at the computer and walked away. It's hard especially after a bad beat. If you made a bad call then it's fine. I take it as a learning curve, next time I know how to do better. I've won a few tournaments because of all the times I've failed before.

This is why patience is important and learning how to control your emotions is key. It really does suck though lol

I get real streaky with tournies, I'll final table like 5 tournies a day for a week then can't even min cash for a week lol

Try to set your mind to this mode: when you register to tournament, it's already like you take out a cash from your pocket and cut them in half. So.. what ever is result on tour. you should all ready have been prepared to be busted. Every position except last position should be jackpot for you. So with that mindset you should relaxing play and really have more chance to win. If you not... next tournament you can play right next after.. coz you are still calm after busting 1st one.. read a book [emoji432] emotional intelligence - Daniel Goleman , it helped me a lot. When the end of the tournament comes, mistakes often lead to losses of many chips, but this happens to everyone.

How big are the fields that your tournaments have? If you are always against a field of say 2000 then it will be more difficult than say 100-200 players. Of course the payout can be so huge with a large field of 2000+

Yep, it's hard when it comes to heads up and there is always this annoying other guy that wants to win as well.But I just can agree to the aboves, there are so many things that can happen during hours and hours of tournaments. Just yesterday I got beaten by a queen on the river, so what, 2nd place, the first remarkable result since 2 weeks.
After I destroyed my lovely tablet once after a flush Ace high beaten by FH, i don't take it that serious anymore. As it happens on a regular basis, my winnings are not high enough. So now I expect to loose and am happily surprised in other cases

Luck plays a major role in a tournament but skill is also needed
