Hello... brand new here... glad I stumbled across this forum. Does anyone else play in these type of tourneys? I've had some success recently and wanted if anyone wanted to share their style of play in these events.
I play very conservative early, only limp in with all pocket pairs (except AA KK) in the early stages... then fold if I dont get the set on the flop. If AA or KK all in.
Middle stages a little looser, trying to steal blinds... while hoping that others dont understand the format and play aggressive.
Then at the end... just trying to get all of my chips in when I have an all in hand.... At the middle and late stages all bets are all in.
Thanks... I am a little strapped for time, but will expand on this more tomorrow. Appriciate any input!

I play these for lower variance(but lower relative rewards ) than the regular
STTs. I think these can also have a place as a learning stepping stone toward
regular STTs. Obviously your not going to get any experience playing down
with 4 or less players.

I would play somewhere that offered RB. On merge with 41.5% RB(35%+6.5%vIPts) and 8%tourney fee you need to win 52.5% of your games to break even not including what effective RB promos offer. Not sure what bodog's fees are but without RB and 10% fee you would have to win 55% to break even. The best regs usuall cash about 58-60% of time. The edge in this game comes from stealing against big stacks and knowing when to call down short stacks.
