ok so ive only played two of these so far and i only have a total of 3.16 on carbon what should i do? should i go for it and try to build my br up because these seam like a piece of cake if i play tag strategy :D any advice if i should try it im just at a break even on .10 cent hyper turbos so idk i dont want my br to stay at that forever and the great thing about me playing these is i dont have to have as many BIs because top 5 get profit :D:p :)

I sometimes have these running in the background when i'm playing tourneys and i just play a TAG style. I look for premium hands to double up with and then sit back while everybody else takes each other out. My ROI on these is about 70%.

hell i could prob. get better XD
although i only have like 5 dollars on merge but i like it for sure tag/agg. is fine for me im a lill on the aggresive side :p but it works for me so ya know

btw i think i can get by with as lil as ten buy ins which is 11 dollars (what im planning on building my br up to) and then oncce i get 3 dollars ill move up to the $2 don i know its a slow curve upward on my poker chart but atleast its a positive line and not negqative

i think it is good to start at the lowest sng's etc. and improve and move up. i would definetely assume that these double or nothings are profitable if you play a solid game, especially assuming there will be so many poor players at those stakes. just play well and you will slowly build your br :D

If you are a good player, and u have money it's profitable . It's better to begin with low stakes / buy in and in the future to progress . I play to tournaments double or nothing , are ok . Good luck !

They are definitely profitable, but be careful with that small bankroll if you get unlucky a couple times then its all gone :p

70 cent profit today it may not seem like much for playing all day but most of the profit is from don haha:D and its like finding a spec of gold it gives you hope that if you dig deeper and try harder youll be a big success and 3.76 ill update you every day when im done playing on the thread

and i was looking at the graphs of some of these players (that way i can tell if they are losing or winning) and whether to add them as friends it could be a big tip for you if your on carbon/merge go to sharkscope and they give you some free searches i noticed tho that probably 7 out of nine people at that table are in the red losing 50-600 dollars i can tell theres profit for sure im gonna read some more of harrington on poker because its defintily helping me

i recommend the du games. i too had a small br and actually finally made my first cashout playing them in a little over 2 weeks. like said above ,wait for a good double up and the rest will take each other out and put you in the money, most of the time.they are a great game to play in the background for sure.

I think these are pretty hard to maintain a steady winning percentage in the long run. DONs have to be the most boring game of all poker and they always have a steady flow of solid regs. Under the old VIP system with RB(merge) you would have to maintain 53% winning percentage to break even. It will probably be greater then 55% if your not making the 35% RB tier plus their hyke on DON fees. Most good winning regs will have around 60% win rate. So to make decent profits you have to play a ton of them and profit mostly off RB or play high stakes.

These are great BR builders, but slow going, you have to win three before you make a profit of any kind. Winning just two leaves you minus the buy ins so it is not really double your investment

Double ups can be very profitable. Before I cashed out my roll at Carbon I was playing a lot of the $10 and $20 double ups. Make sure you find out the regs at your level because there are a lot of them in double ups and it is important to take notes on them.

ok so basically put a tag on the grinders since you can search the ones tht have profit and the ones that are negative and put a fish on the negatives?

very true poker orifice. these games have a very different strategy than normal sng. It is one of the few games where it can be correct to fold AA against a big stack donk if you got someone else with less chips than you about to go out. Think about bubble play making your decisions based on what will keep you in the game longer than others, not winning the most chips. Check me out on sharkscope over 1000 games and 10% roi.

I started a decent BR by playing the double or nothing SNGs. Tight is the way to play these games.

I play these from time to time and have good success just play smart wait for big hands and play them aggressive if your hands hold you turn a profit I think I'm up around $150 so far but then I lose $109 in the 100k so they pay for my buy in's in the big games

When I first started playing the higher limit buy ins I would look up many of the regs stats on sharkscope just to confirm that they were good players. Make sure when you get down to around 10bb you shove or fold because if you call or make a small raise a lot of the regs will shove with marginal hands to put the pressure on you.

yes he is a shark. I think he plays up to the $5.50 double ups but I played against him a lot when I was going through the lower stakes.

There is NO easy way to build a bankroll. Period, no exceptions.

The less you have to work with, the longer it will take. So building a $2 br into a $4 br might seem continuously doable, it doesn't work out like that.

Continue with the freerolls, enjoy the experience, have fun, and study at the rate that just barely bores you. Play the steps play money games if you can. They lead to real money.

Be active enough here to get in our Freeroll club so you can play the superior value private freerolls we host. I see you have enough posts, and should have already applied. It is only a matter of time and effort till you bink something that will help. ;)

DON are slow BR builder, but if you play TAG and have little bit of luck, you can make profit with them, just wait for strong hand and get some chips, then wait untill they kick each other out

I played a few of the $5 ones on Bovada and they seemed fairly easy. I played about six and I think I won 4 so it wasn't anything huge, but it was kind of a nice switch from the other ones I was playing.
