A lot of the times when I see pocketpairs 10 or up, their is someone else holding a pocketpair 10 or up. Not specifically me in the hand talking here.

Is it just me or does it happen more often than it should?

Any one else has this 'feeling'.... or are the actual odds higher than I think?

Thanks for you insights!

When you hold 10's the odds a single opponent holds a higher pair is 1.9% so in 100 hands 2 times you will have a higher pair against you.

Against a full table the odds are at 16.4% so in 100 hands 17 times someone will have a higher pair than your 10's.

Thanks for the chart!

Hmm so 17/100 on full table, is really more than I would have guessed!
Play them more carefully is the message I guess :)

If you consider that many times everybody just folds, it makes it even more likely when you get heavy action from villain. I have lost a lot of money to higher sets when hitting the board with 22-55 :/

Seems to me like it happens way more than it should.
