Hi, guys I just started playin low buy-in torunaments, and i'm impressed with the results. So far so good. The question is can these tournaments boos my poker skills? People at this levels play kindda odd/predictable.
Bankroll management is, or ought to be your first concern, as your bankroll builds & you gain more experience, moving up tends to be a natural progression.
small buy in match can also train you skill,if you can not play well in the small buy in ,then how you can make sure you can do the better when you move up,i think player must play step by step...I don't believe playing micros will help you at the higher buy-in levels because the play is completely different. IMO it basically just helps with patients and stamina. Good luck though.
this ^^
Sure, you can learn and continue to work on plenty of skills at those levels.
Start by playing $2 SNG's until you have $500.
Then move up and play $5 SNG's until you have $400 or $1000.
Move up or down from there.
Try to watch the other players and see how they play a little different at the different levels.
FWIW I prefer the 2 table 18 seat SNG's.

You suggest $250 buyins for the $2 level? That seems high to me. I would say 50 BIs is ok for that level. Even as low as 30 would be fine.
And I would bet you bust a few times.
