If the final table of a full tilt poker tournament is reached and all players sit in want to discuss a deal but there is a player inactive and in sit out mode, is it still possible to reach a deal or it is fundamental that even the player sit out accepts the proposed conditions?

I think it's required that all players need to actually click on the "Make a Deal" thing and they have to agree on the deal itself for it to be accepted. If you're on the final table of a big MTT why that guy is sitting out would be way beyond me.

If you're talking about 6-9 player SnG's deal making is pretty silly to do there.

I guess they are sitting out because of a connection problem. Just wait for them to blind out and then make a deal, which will be better without them. I'd have thought the other players would have to be careful of collusion problems, though.

all players wether active or not must agree on a deal.
also any decent tourny player will rob a sitout off his blinds,
and clever ones even take it easy to blind him out :D
special on final tables

its completely legal to outblind a sitout !
but are not allowed to ask the others to assist in it, could be
interpreted as collusion !

Lets get a bit of strategy in here. Suppose we are down to last 6 in a big tourney and one player has been sat out for ages - obviously not coming back. Everyone is talking about a deal in the chatbox except MrSitOut, who sits to our left with 5BB. We are short on chips but still have way more than MrSitOut. BigStack to our right shoves everytime they are on the button - this goes on for ages and not much else happens at the table - everyone's just moaning about not being able to do a deal.

Do we call with a primo or just fold everything, wait for MrSitOut to bust and then do a deal?

I was playing a 180 man SNG once, about half way into the tourney a huge storm was going crazy outside. As soon as the final table hit the power went out. So I'm sure something like that is why there are sitters on the final table. I was third in chips when that happened and went out in 9th, so I'm sure those bastards all blinded me out.

Need more info. It depends on what the jump in pay is if the sitter buts before you do and what all the other stacks at the table look like. With more info we can do an ICM calculation and mathematically know for sure.
