Hey,

it's time for me to move up from the micros to the low stakes :)
Does anyone has tips for me? Is there a diffrence between these levels? How should I adjust my play? I'm playing the 9 men sngs at pokerstars.

Thanks!

Between different stakes there is always a difference, usually more regulars at one table. As for the game, they can be, but not very significantly different, tag players are usually more, passive players less. If you beat microstakes, then you can try to play in low stakes, but just stick to bankroll management.

Imo low stakes can be harder at times because you play with so many randoms that seem to always get lucky. usually in high stakes you know your opponent a little better .

I think so !! is perhaps their first mandatory change jogo.Eu recommend you get into rooms just to watch before going deep , but the most important are the studies , you'll have to beat the regulars more often, and how are sit n go , their opontes surely has a better read- range push and fold on the bubble.

GL!!!

The difference is largest blind bet no casualties and micro power play have greater control of our bank and our losses will be lower if not win

I have played at both levels and haven't seen any difference, their are good players and there are bad players at both levels.

^^^ I agree.

At the highest stakes though, you'll see people triple barrel bluff more than usual and someone will be hero calling all 3 streets with AK ace high. (They must have reads on each other)

Also people will try to float more, 3 bet more, and etc. Higher stake players are usually good at hand reading too. They have good knowledge of hand ranges and their current equity. Another thing is higher stake players are quicker to find exploits too. Rarely will you find a high stakes player without a HUD. Unless you are playing on Bovada lol...

i think personally micros stakes mean hey if i lose this its no biggy at all its only pennies and nickels as you move up you get a littles less but not much. i play alot of 3 dollar tournies and sngs that range usually 1-5 and sometimes the play is good and then sometimes you run into a stretch of gutshots calling of their stacks just to kill you at the wrong time. keep a eye on your oppents is probably the best advice. you should see alot of regulars and good luck.

What do you mean by low stakes? Where does 10NL come, micro or low?

the difference is in the amount of Bainov, the higher the entrance to the event, the less fish and varnish.

Thanks for your response. I will try to play my best.

@SnowedIn: I don't know where the low stakes begins in cash game. But in Sngs I would say the low stakes begins with 5$ buy-ins.
