Hey guys!
Does anyone play deep stack tournaments?
What are the big differences for the normal and turbo?

I usually like to play deep when I'm satellite Hyper Turbo. Tournament I do not like much because a lot of chips and the blinds take a long time to get up more!

deeper the stack, deeper the skill goes. u have to have big patience n stamina during these tournaments as they go on slow-pace.
its my favourite game, sad i dont get to play it too often..

Big difference is on the start you play it pretty much like cash games low ball.

not really much difference between a normal tournament, its just starting with more chips than normal so you just widen your range of raising/calling hands and can see alot more flops for cheap

Deep stack tournaments are my bread and butter.

The idea is that everyone knows they're deep. So a lot of people play with oversized preflop raises early tourney, and throw around chips in unnecessary spots.

Just watch the fiasco and choose your spots, and you can build a big stack over the course of a longer period of time than normal
That is because you start with more chips, so you don't have to gamble early as much as a normal stacked-turbo for example.

Then it eventually becomes picking off stacks until you reach an epitome of the tournament. I hope you enjoy.

there is almost no difference just the stage of the push fold in the turbo tournaments begins much earlier than in the usual tournaments !!!

The biggest plus of these tournaments is that for a good result you need to have more

The biggest plus of these tournaments is that for a good result you need to have more experience, luck is not playing a major role here than for example in turbo tournaments. Playing stronger than your opponents, you will often get into prizes and occupy high places in similar tournaments, unlike turbo tournaments, in which each hand can be the last for you. The downside of deep stack tournaments is that you spend a lot of time on one tournament and as a result, during a month you will play much less tournaments than for example turbo tournaments.

I'd like to try this, but I don't see it often. More often I see big rebuy tournaments. I thought I might try my hand at this and permit myself one rebuy. I almost never rebuy and don't usually buy the add-on.

im not playing deep stacks, for me that tourneys lasts so long and i like it better when tourney lasts 3-4 hours and no 10 hours like on stars.. and players are at late phase so tight its so annoying

hi!
the biggest difference is to know how to use 3-betting and 4-betting.
also you have to be more tight in early stages

The strategy is not the same on a deep because we can see more flop at the beginning of the tournament and play more speculative hands. Our fold equity in the beginning is much weaker too. And you have to know that the range of call on our raises is larger
