This is the Hero Poker $3 rebuy and at this point we were in the money! Villan has been very active over the 46 hands i have on him! I have 3 bet jammed on him once before this hand during the bubble. I honestly didn't think i would get a call here ;Even though i know that i was super light and behind his calling range.
Im honestly confused about how light you should 3-bet very active players. I ended up busting a few mtt's today where i felt i was 3-betting super light. obv 24s has 34% equity vs his 31% raise 1st percentage! But im thinking that i should be 3 betting a tighter range here? as 42s is like 81% of my range here!!!! seems like i was way off here! I think i let my emotions get the best of me! Sorry if i am cluttering it's 2am here.

Was he normally opening for 4x? What about just when he opened in steal position?

I dont think you should be jamming here, to me that raise suggests he is calling an all in or trying to give the image he is, unless he has opened this size everytime, so i wouldn't be pushing that light here. You probably weren't that critical to push 24s in in this spot

When the guy opens to > 4x he's rarely going to fold for 18x.

If he always tries to steal with a 4x raise, then maybe this shove could be justified. However, I wouldn't comfortable shoving so lightly with 24, and since you have 18bb and in the SB, there isn't much to defend.

Unless his normal open is 4x 3-bet shoving is appaling.

"Is there such a thing as 3-betting too light?"
when it's doubtful you have fold equity & with a shyt hand... then 'yah'
(villain is getting 1.75to1, needing 36% )
