Guys, I would like to know how you area dealing with elimination when you go very deep in the tournament?
I was playing in the Hotter 7.5, with a very big field, more than 5000 players.
Actually I wanted to go to sleep, but I qualified through a satellites so I said to play of course. I was having already 15 hours of play but I was not very tired
I will make my tournament review today, but I consider to have played well.
I got lucky once in a big pot, the next hand after the bubble and managed to triple up with 99 ending up with 60BB.
Then I've played pretty tight, reaching the 17th place.

I had 21 BB, I was in 10th place and in two consecutive hands I got eliminated.
1st Hand:
One guy UTG with 12BB shoved A9s and I went all in with AQs, a 9 came on the flop.....
Next hand dealt AQo and shoved on 1st place that had AKo and got eliminated.

I really hate this kind of situation when you get cleaned in 2 hands, very deep in the MTT:)

You played well, in a big tournament, luck influences, maybe you should play tournamentes with fewer players.

Story of my February. I’ve ran deep so many times and just shove at the wrong times. Like KK into AA or AQ into AK. Just have to take it with a grain of salt and keep regging until you hit a nice deep FT run.

I'm playing also smaller field, I'm playing a lot of MTT's but I like very much, on Sundays, this 3000 to 6000 people tournament. Most probably I'm attracted by the big prices.

In 2013 I've managed to FT few of them, even winning one, but there where other times:)))

Hopefully in March we will hit the big scores:))))

I know that we need to get lucky, especially in this large MTT's. But it is frustrating to lose your medium stack, two hands in a row.

Dealing with tournament-level tilt

I know exactly how you feel. In a satellite that only payed 2 places I went from chip leader with 9 to go to out in 6th place because of 4 key bad best hands (things like AA losing to 55, or a straight losing to a flush). I got back into a good playing mindset by joining 2 or 3 freerolls I absolutely did not care about. One I did the all-in every hand thing just to see who i could annoy. The other I played every hand regardless of what they were just to see what would happen (not much good btw). By the end of those tournies I felt back to my old self and was ready to take on a real tourny again.
