Only in the major events like the Sunday Million, Thursday Thrill, etc. And even then, there is a mandatory amount that the players must still play for for finishing in first place. Thats why we sometimes see players who finished higher but still made less money than the players below them.

I've also done deals at the FT mainly for the reasons that I know its just going to be a push-fest with stacks so shallow, and also knowing that I'm not a very good HU player, :).

I love HU play. More so in real live poker than online because I can read my opponent. I've been down 20 to1and won.:D:D

hmmm....not completely true.....I' ve made deals in silly tournaments with a $2.20 buyin like Badugi and 2-7.
As far as I know at Stars dealmaking is possible in about every prizepool guaranteed MTT.
In the major events there's indeed a mandatory amount still to play for.
In some other tournaments you can make a deal without leaving anything to play for except tournament points.

I always try to make deals in Final Table on line Tournaments. when you get down to the final 3 or so there is an option you click, but in order to be possible all the players will have to agree on the deal.
If the players left are close to each other in chips is easy to reach a deal, but if the leader has a large advantage of course he will not accept any deals just push the BSS into the others. :deal:

I usually do agree on FT playing in MTT tournaments is ideal in heads up or when there are 3 players depends on your stack and prizes

It makes sense to agree on a deal when you have a below-average stack. And so, if you believe in their abilities and that you have frequent get to the final table, you have to go to the finish.
