Hey Gang,

I'm going to be playing the Venetian Deep Stack tournament here in the next couple of weeks. This tournament will be lasting about 4 days and they split the opening day.

So which day should I play? I've heard different theories on which to play at. Most pro's play on Day 1A, most recs play on Day 1B, etc...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of advice on this tends to be how old you are and how experienced you are at playing multi day tables. I've heard people say if you're older the day off may be more welcome, and again if you're not experienced in multi days the day off may help to recover a bit.

That said I'd rather do day b and crack straight on to the next day [emoji1]

For this tournament I don't think 1A will be much different than 1B so it's your preference on having a day off or arriving at the venue a day later. I prefer to have the day off. In some locales the day 1A will have very few players resulting in more 6-7 handed play as tables get reduced faster. IE some events get 30-40 players on 1A vs 200-300 on 1B. In these cases I prefer the larger field size.

Yeah I'm still a young 30's lol. I think I'm leaning towards day 1B. Just saw that my flight will be leaving closer to midnight. So i'll be landing in vegas around 2-3 AM. Best to rest up on that day then hit the Felt on Saturday and Sunday.
