I find this I often FT on stars also 200 ish 888
im in the mix come the end.,
In genural you find at the end of a tournament their will be a few tournament winning players (big cashers) who are usually in the mix. And they know you cant slow down,
The main problem is for me (this may help) Im thinking about the big cash and I'm thinking its ok dont panic maintain my stack and wait for a spot to come around.
But really to take down first you have to up the tempo and we know at this stage 3-bets and shoves are commen, so we dont want to open to many hands or 3-bet the bigger stacks,
I just pretend its a 9man sit n go - its not a tournament.
and my aim is to stay chip leader on my table from start to finish , if you can get that edge and your skillful enough to extract your value from the lags when your spot comes around which u probably are - you will be in the top 3 on ur table 90% .
Also when your intervening you send fear into your opponants and we are preventing them from hitting big speculative hands from taking away the calling equity from hands they would of played with a limp.
this means our villains have less chance of doubling their stacks and we maintain our edge,
although sometimes ther will be times when it cant be prevented
