Good evening, game basically stt9 players Turbo $0.50. I have a great doubt when I become the chip leader for example in the intermediate stage of the tournament. What should be done in this situation considering that you have 4000 chips with the blinds 50/100. You must be playing dead and letting the guys kill each other and going too tight to MLT or going up trying to steal the blinds and the cleaners?

My suggestion is to keep a few things in mind. When you are chip leader it is possible to take people out of the tournament, but it is not your job to do so. Don't call all-in with marginal hands hoping you can take someone out. Let them have the hand and look to take them out some other time.
Keep in mind that your only job as chip leader is to gain more chips. Play your game and don't become excessively tight. Like in boxing, only playing defense is going to get you beat up.
Also keep in mind that if the other players take all of each other's chips then when it comes down to heads up they will be the chip leader. So again, keep playing your game.

I think you have to take a tight passive position, about to do a little stolen chips from the opponents. Because the chip leader in the middle of the tournament does not mean anything.
