Just wondering folks, how long after arriving at a new table do you wait to make a move. You know, to get comfortable and get a read on your opponents. The past couple of tournaments I've gotten spots as soon as I got to a table. I've been taking them and it seems to be going well. It seems people are really scared especially as we approach the bubble.

I usually take at least several rounds to get comfortable. I don't know that I wait that long to make a move but certainly the more you know the other players the better your plays are, the more they work and more profitable they become. I really struggle with table changes because I rely heavily on player reads. The last tournament I played I got moved 5 times on the 2nd day.

I see you play at BetOnline too and if you dont take notes on people you need to. I see the same people ALL THE TIME. I'm a crazy note taker and its actually odd if i'm at a table and don't have something written about someone.
To really answer your question though I usually play pretty tight for a couple orbits but you have to think on the flip side most players don't know how to approach playing you either.

I couldn't agree more regarding this top[ic people are afraid of the bubble and they will fold great hands because they want 25-35 I for one have no fear I will play my hand to capacity regardless of the bubble. I am not looking to place 25th I want 1st. Of course I will use selective hands if near the bubble but I will limp or raise with K10 9J 99 88 and so forth If I have AA KK QQ I will make a raise 4-5 times the blind depending on table conditions, People sometimes think I will raise because I don't want a call I see the opposite I raise because I want someone to call me. I also do get moved from table to table allot and I will adjust to each and every table condition. If I bubble and have a great hand I know my decision and betting style was the correct one.

Of course, to play a big pot versus unknown player, you either have a good hand or have statistics on this player!!!Therefore, a new table it is better to wait a few hands and see strategy game rivals!!!
