Hey everyone this came-up in another thread and I just wanted to put this out there so no one runs into any problems. It seems that certain Carbon tickets (not sure if it's ALL or just certain ones - these were $33 satelitte ones) actually DO expire in 90 days - DESPITE THE FACT THAT ON YOUR ADMIN PAGE THERE WILL BE NO EXPIRATION DATE LISTED.

This is confirmed from Carbon e-mail I recieved yesterday. I'm OK, mine haven't expired yet, but a couple are relatively close. Now, I know none of you degens routinely leave unused tickets laying around for 90 days anyway:D , but I'm just sayin'.....

It seems that if your admin page has a colum for expiration dates on coupons/tickets and there IS an expiration date, that it should be posted there. But, in Carbon's wisdom, this is not always the case. Just a word to the wise.

Thanks for the heads up. Seems really silly to me that they don't list the expiry date in your player admin. It would suck to have a few $33 tickets expire while you thought they never would. Anyone know of anything decent to play with the $2.20 satelite tickets? I've had a look and there doesn't seem to be any good tourneys to play with them. It's great that tickets can be used for the Poker Maximus games.

You can play a 6 man sng with your $2 ticket. Winner gets an $11 coupon good for any $11 event second gets $1.

It's more than silly, it borders on fraud. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I have had tickets expire, but I have one now that's 9 months old that still is good.

I have about ten satellite $11 tickets. I wish I could trade them in for GTD or cash.

If I remember correctly Carbon toyed with the idea of allowing you to "sell" your tickets (presumably at a discount) through their site to other players who would be interested in using them (e.g. they transfer x$ from their carbon acct. to yours, your ticket gets moved to their acct.). But they seem to have given-up on this idea for now, or at least I haven't heard anything more about it in awhile.

They will come in handy for the up coming Maximus games. Could also use one or 2 to get 33$ tickets.

I found 2 tickets in my PDC account - one was 2 years old and the other was 4 years old. They both worked for me.

It's like Charade said earlier. No rhyme or reason why some expire and some don't. Also sometimes no warning that they will be expiring either, since there is no date listed. So I guess you just use them up relatively quickly, or you take your chances.

Is this still the case with the Tickets on Carbon (merge)?

My stepdaughter won a handful of tickets but she'd prefer to wait before using some of them... at least until she's a bit more experienced so she can get the most out of them.
How does one find out if their tickets are going to expire? Maybe I should just tell her to make a point of using them up within 60days or something?

Just send support an email with that question.

Since they switched to this new software I dont see ant exp. dates on the pop ups I can get to from their confusing pull down menus. Hard to find anything in this software. Under games menu, I see it still shows coupons and dont see any exp. dates.

I just checked and I have a $33 coupon which I won in April of this year and it still shows as available, no expire date. I know with the previous software there was an expiration, and now there isn't one.

Not sure how the absence of an expiration date field is anymore reassuring than having one that is rarely filled in until the ticket has expired.

I wouldn't trust it. Asking support might be helpful.
