So Im trying to expand my game and I realize I do not use position as much as I should. I generally play TAG but not expand my range much when on the button.

What hand ranges do you include in a limped or min-raised/flat call situation? (especially deep in a tourney)

I find most players get very tight in the deep end, and it seems like I get a mssive stack early, then cant keep it in motion through the middle/late stages.

The range of hands on the button depends on the amount and what types of players are facing if all the players at the table are playing very tight can take advantage of the position to try to take the pot if no one to raise, on the contrary if there are many Fishes and looses on the table it is better to reduce the number of hands to play

I'll raise the button until the player calls/re-raises and then I'll cool off a little until I have a holding with some post-flop value.

If he's a total pushover I'd do it almost every time... not pushing my stack but making him want to fold.

If he catches me a couple times, oh well. I'll take 10+ blinds I shouldn't have through the game.

I find the hardest spot to play in this position is the small blind late in the tourney. Is an Ace worth a shove when you are constantly getting your SB raised by the button? It's such a guess sometimes it's just a tough spot. I hate to seem like a NIT by only playing primo hands in this position but it seems like it's guesswork a lot of the time

it becomes more about playing the person when its that deep.

I like to always raise when I'm the dealer. Regardless of my hand if there aren't too many others in the hand. The button is a powerful position and should be played as much as possible. You get an idea if anyone likes there hands, and it's easy to steal pots.

In my opnion you should use a HUD to manage properly how you play the hands in any position, I use the Copilot and it gives me a lot of information about the positions, the VPiP in each position, each hand, etc. It really helps a lot, good luck!

I agree with bujjhati, you should use a tracker or stuff to minimize your errors and to help you to play it.

The deeper you go then the harder for you to get chips off better players. If I have a hand worth raising and it's already raised then I might flat call. I'm still playing tight though and picking spots.

It definitely becomes understanding the players you're raising, maybe even more than just playing the cards you have. Need to understand their stacks/M and the stage of the tournament.
