ok so heres the deal, i have horrible brm....I can win big tournaments and win at big stakes......i finished 4th in a merge 10k gtd $109 tournament so I know I can do it.......I am a sr in college with a year and a half until i graduate...my current bankroll after a downswing/tilt/cashing out because I do not have a job at the moment is currently at 32.78 my goal is to by the time I graduate to have a big enough roll that I can play poker full time.....I would love everyones help in this to keep on my track and in a good frame of mind I wil play fast fiftys until MTT and sit/gos and quarter quicklys until I have enough to move up and will use my VIP pts to play in $1.10 mtt....I am going to post videos of Sit and Gos (since that is what I am going to do to build my roll until I move on to solely MTTs) to get constructive criticism. Thanks everyone and wish me luck

Plan for your plan, not to work out the way you will it.
Look towards getting a job. That is a huge bankroll management step in itself. Doubt anyone will argue with that.

32 dollars isn't much of a roll and if this is your milk money your working with (no disrespect intended) that really puts pressure on your play (not a good thing).

I`m new here so I`m sure a forum veteran will step in here with some advice you want to hear.

Don't make the mistake of gauging your ability based on a small number of high finishes, especially in games with sizable proportions of satellite qualifiers. Although it's possible that you're good enough to be +EV at the $100 level. However, it doesn't seem very likely for someone with that skill level to run bad enough to be forced all the way down to $1.10 in order to stay within reasonable BRM guidelines. Not even after making allowance for withdrawing.

You're really not bankrolled to play above 1.10. So the straightforward thing to do is the play there and below until you have a large enough sample size to be confident you're +EV in those games. Then, depending on your roll, you can either start taking shots at 2.20 and 3.30, or if you've won enough, move up to those levels.

Not saying you aren't a good player but anyone can finish 4th in any tournament if they run good enough.

As for your bankroll.. MTT's will slaughter that in no time if you run bad/play bad.

I ran $37 up to a little over $1,000 in the last month and a half, mostly from cash games. Start at 2nl and grind your way up, as for turning pro...

If you need to ask these type of questions then you are a long long way from turning pro and shouldn't be thinking about it.

Good luck

Horrible brm & want to turn pro
5' 3" & want to play in the NBA.
Have the yips & want to become a pro golfer.
Can't hit a Legion level curve ball, want to be a pro baseball player.
Small, slow & don't handle pressure well, want to be a pro quaterback.
Believe I'd focus on getting the degree, but that's just me. :)
Good luck.

Anybody can sit at a table, not everyone can step onto a nba team or QB for a nfl team. That is obviously the underlying fact which gets minds racing and entertaining the idea of "I could do this for a living!" Opposed to outright and immediate dismissal like me stomping lebran james in a game of horse, (not the card game) :)
