over the past couple of days in tournaments, especially early on, I have had some success with just shoving the river with the nuts.
Yesterday, I was in the BB with QQ. 1st level of a deepstacked tourney. SB raises to 4x. I smooth call and flop top set. I'm hoping he has something but not sure what he could have this point. Turn seems like a bank as it completes the rainbow. I minraise the turn hoping I'll get some action. The river pairs the board. I'm not beating everything except quads action is checked to me. While trying to figure out what I'm getting called with I conclude, another random boat, or middle pair thinking I'm on a bluff. I rule out AA or KK because I feel I would've heard from them before the river. So while trying to figure out how much I just decide to shove. My reasoning is simple. No matter what I bet, he folds air and calls with all his weaker boats and middle pair and junky str8s. If he's got air, then i'm not getting another chip. If he got anything at all he's going to call mainly because he's already put 10%-15% of his stack in already. I realize I polarize my hand and thinking players would fold anything not quads. Only beating a bluff there's nothing out there at all. This time worked beautifully. He tanked for 30-45 seconds and mustard up the courage to call. BOOM. Queensfull, he must've been sick.

This morning I ran into a similar situation. I turned the nut straight. Hoping he's got a pair or even a jack. As you can see, in this one, I got paid. A hits the river and BOOM. Beautiful car for me since villian can beat any ace without a jack and this time, I get snap called and I knew I won the hand.
btw, both tourneys were $10+1 buy ins.

I'm not saying you're wrong by doing this, but you have an opportunity to get a few more chips by not shoving. Some people might pay you off for a few chips just to see your cards, just a thought.
