Otherwise u could play smaller MTTs or SnG with more room for skill than luck in them and increase your cash-in rate...
But I know that the grand prizes of the 9 first players of BLT will always be a thrill that we'll follow...even if it's futile
What I don't understand about what you're saying is >>> most MTT players are playing more than one table/tourney at a time. So how does having one of your tables (of say 6 to 10) with a puney $2 investment to play in a donkament that 'only' takes 4.5hrs. with a HUGE overlay in it (there was ~$120,000 overlay in that tournament.... where can you find anything even close to that?). How could this be considered 'a waste of time'?
Think of all the thousands of freetrollers (sorry.. 'freerollers') who will play for 5+hrs. to win a couple of bucks, now this tourney here gives them a shot at making some real money
(1sts place in this pays as much as a $26 buyin with 1,000+ entrants). Yes it's a longshot but it's not like it's going to take 100% attention fixated on one screen.
For a tournament player, I don't understand how this couldn't be a simple thing to have on the go while playing other tournaments. btw... there were guys in that BLT tournament who have MTT profits in excess of $300k (some of them previous FTOPS winners). Also some Fulltilt pros (with KO t-shirts to be won).
Especially for a micro stakes player, I think this tournament is a great deal & a great oppurtunity - - minimal time investment for a chance to get a big payday!!
