Blinded by my hand

I was playing poker last night at the Casino and last half my chips stupidly. I had 2 pairs with A & 9 in my hand, so nothing paired on the board. At show down he went all in and I called not even seeing the 3 hearts on the board because I was so confident I had the best hand. I was still up $900 for the night but losing that way really hurts. But in my defence this group of players go all in almost every hand with nothing most time.

t is normal to make mistakes and to be so confident in one's hand that our brain does not even realize that it has 3 hearts on the flop. it's already happening to me. the best way to remedy this is to take your time before each move and not rush. If these guys are going all in with air then it would’ve been hard to pick up on a flush. I probably would’ve called I. Your situation as well.

If it were a Different group of players that played tighter or only shoves with strong hands then I would’ve been more suspicious.

I don’t think it was a bad play based on what you were saying

In my opinion, it is better to play poker online. At $ 900 you could play a huge number of tournaments and your chances of winning a good amount of money would be greater.
