had a situation where we were down to 4 players in a sit and go. blinds were (300/600)
I was on the button with (3533 in chips) chip leader was in sb with(4900 in chips) bb had (2171 in chips) under the gun (2896 in chips)
under the gun folded, so It was down to me, I pushed all in.
I guess my question is was this a good move considering the chip leader was in the sb and the bb only had about 1500 left after posting. Do you think with more then 5 bb I should have just waited to see what happened with the 2 smaller stacks on sfter the blinds hit them ?

I don't think the short stacks are short enough here to just fold your way to the money. What cards were you holding? I wouldn't shove any two here, but if you have a good hand I'd shove over. Your stack is big enough the SB won't want to tangle with you without a hand. BB might be calling a little light given he's already put over 1/4 of his stack in though.

Post the hand with the snazzy new hand converter if you have it. Makes it easier to read:

It's not about how big your stack is. It's about how your stack relates to the other stacks at the table.

Here, we have to be one of the most risk averse stacks at the table, shoving into a guy who has us covered is never a great idea.

Think about it like this, will picking up the blinds here really affect our situation?

Add to that we have very little fold equity from the BB this is a clear fold with the majority of hands.

In situations like this i tend to just let the Small Blind do the work for us, he has a big stack and is likely to shove saving us the hassle of going to showdown.
