It was a $150 deep stack buy in mtt event with 99 runners.
I was luckyenough to make final table of 10 and be the big stack at the table.
Live game at the crown casino in melbourne.

I finished 5th doing some stupid calls "for the table".
I had 600k and all others had about 250k with small stack on 120k.

Small stack pushed allin on my big blind and I called with 2s 3s he turns over QQ and wins....I drop to 480k(BB was 40k}.

Next I lose 20k SB and players are chipping up while I bleed.
I make another lose call and drop to $300k.Now I am close to being small stack on the table.

I get dealt QQ and 3 players go allin preflop....I call...
Villain 1.....66
Villain 2....99
Villain 3 ...JJ
Me .......QQ
River J and I hit the rail but feel good coming 5th and pocketing $955 for a win of $805.
NEVER again will I call "for the table !!!!

Assuming no antes, you had to call 80k with your 32s into a pot holding 180, so the pot odds were 2.25:1. Based just on the math, you should call unless you think the shover's range is pretty nitty. In practice, it's hard to assume anyone's shove range with 3bb is narrow enough so you don't have enough pot odds to call.

I might fold anyway, but the main reason wouldn't be the 32s. It would be the relative probability / utility of increasing to a 720k stack vs dropping to 480k, which is hard to assess without knowing the rest of the stacks.

yep agree with arjonius. rest of the stacks are around 250k he mentioned, so we would still be the chip leader by a decent amount, but we have to be a little more risk averse now and we don't have a cushion to be able to abuse the tight guys who want to creep one more spot into the money.

you should have reads on the table by now, is the shover really tight? he would have to be on close to ATC here to call off with 32s, and i find it hard to believe that he would do that. one other consideration here is, do you have a skill edge on the table, and are you doing really well right now? if you are, then just fold and continue to use your edge and stack to your advantage.

fwiw, i'd probably fold the QQ there, might seem really tight/nitty, but we don't have much equity vs 3 other players, and without knowing holecards, i'd think i'm likely beat here. theres always the argument that they could all have ak and they have each others outs, but i'd be folding if i thought i had a skill edge on the table for sure.

It's close on the 2s3s. I'd probably fold. One of the better reasons to call, in addition to pot odds might be to send a message "don't mess with my blinds". Also, if you fold here it'll look like you're a pushover in your blinds. Still, I would probably fold it, but I don't think calling with it is a big error.

The QQ I think I would tank-fold. it's hard to do, but with 3 all-ins ahead of you and you have no money in the pot....

now maybe if I had been the preflop raiser and another player flatted and then 1 or 2 players went all in I MIGHT be able to call hoping that it is a squeeze play, or a bunch of AK/AQ type hands. But in the case you described with 3 all ins ahead of you, QQ will usually be up against 1 over pair and AK. or 2 overpairs. It's really miraculous that you were ahead until the river.

I wouldn't beat yourself up over that. I think I'd call as well. Given the odds, the opportunity that presented......I'd have a very hard time laying that down.

These are not bad calls. If you play to win, then they are ok. If you play to get possibly more money, then wait till short stack drops out next time. ;)
