Lately I've been getting early chip leads in these MTTs. I've had recent instances where within 5-10 min of the tourney starting I'm the chip leader and sometimes even to the point where I'm double the starting chips. Sometimes it pays off and I go deep, but most of the time I find myself out of the tournament by mid to late stages. I find that when my stack grows later in a turbo MTT I tend to do much better but these early leads I have trouble maintaining.

Any tips on how to manage a very big stack early in an MTT? Do you tighten up even more or do you bully the table more?

These are on Bovada and max might have 700 players but usually around 400-500 max.

I tend not to change my strategy at all early on. Bullying is for closer to the bubble, and nitting up even more isn't worth it.

I see a lot of early big stacks start gambling and ignoring pot odds, in addition to seeing too many flops and hoping to get lucky. Usually the big stack starts dwindling pretty quickly at that point. You can't win the tournament during the first few levels.

we need to continue to play very carefully and to follow the indicator VPIP does not exceed 22-24%
