Got in through a FTP satellite and thought I might as well play it. Just wondering if any of you ever entered it and have you ever run deep.

GL Tom. I cashed 5th place in the first BL tourney way back before black friday for $7250. I got in on a satellite for $2.50 if I remember right. One of the most memorable online experiences for me.

I never played before in this tournament, but this week I have registered ( 2 entries ) to the tournament. I hope I'll finish in the money zone. Good luck to everybody! :)

I can't speak for the tourney nowadays but the one I placed in had 44k entries I believe. I'm sure not having the U.S market has squelched the numbers quite a bit.

The buyin for "The Big Little Tournament" is only $2.20
Perhaps your memory is off a bit for one of your most memorable online experiences? (maybe you're referring to 'The Double Deuce' or something else?)

Pre BF numbers were ~48k
This year 2013 (April) was only 14,628

They changed the BLT buy in pretty soon after it was created. I played a few after the first one and realized it was the $2.20. The first was $5.50 if I remember right.

Edit: I just check on Poker Rankings and it was indeed $5.50. My old man memory is still ticking. The BLT that I made ITM in March of 2010 was $2.20 so they changed it somewhere in between January and then.

Indeed you are correct! Jan. 2010 BLT was a $5 buyin (& 5th in that tourney paid out $7,250, player's name was 'NegativeKing'). I played it but didn't cash.
In Feb. 2010 the buyin was lowered to $2.20

lost with aq against 55 early on...not even mad if people wanna flip in a 2.2 dollar tourney good for you
ftp tourneys are garbage compared to pokerstars
ftp is only good for satellite to live event and only because they have exclusive events...

Stop it with FTP, and stop with the bitching about how Bad FTP is, if you're going to keep playing there!

This reminds me I got a ticket to the BLT as well, had it for a while but havn't yet had an opportunity to play it. Perhaps might be available this month, and would be nice to cash for pretty nickel or two (no more penny so gotta go with nickel lol).

But yes berno, don't be trashing the site. All of the sites have pros and cons but personal opinion wise i think FTP site is great, kinda a bummer with low traffic at times. Just been trying to smarten up my game and hopefully eventually grind my way out of a huge hole, so been doing a multi table approach of micro sng's.

I love that FTP has a .5$ sng that helps out a small bankroll to grind up, in late evenings however been finding takes forever to get multiple tables filled up. On PSTARS however the smallest sng is 3x the buyin making it more difficult to grind a small roll without risking a greater portion, but the tables fill up and can get the multi tables going much quicker.

Been doing alright on both since I started with a grind a few weeks ago, not up for the varience of mtt's and tend to tilt way too easily in cash ( a major issue have always had, which trying to work on controling for sure and i have a long road ahead but hoping will get there eventually).
