play tight. be aggressive with big hands you'll find yourself being called fairly light half the time. be prepared also for the huge variance and have good control on your bankroll

Hi man. 1st of all, good bankroll management! 2nd u must organize your time schedule and choose the best tours (for u) in your session. because the mtt session need a lot of hours, u need to take care your physical condition. sleep well, eat well. After all these basic things, u need to have a profitable strategy. i dont know in which level u are. for give u the suitables advice. if u know start to play poker, u must read some articles for strategy and watch videos in the youtube. this is a start! good luck at the tables!

Tight is right at the beginning of a MTT. No need to splash around in pots when there's no antes and a bunch of calling stations.

Abuse the scared players around the bubble.

Play a selective range but play it aggressively to make up for not playing the marginal hands then once you're on the bubble be very open then again near FT and on FT you should take advantage of your perceived tight image to rake in more than your fair share of pots.

most answers are correct, TAG is good. Indetify fish and exploit them.
my 5c would be don't play them =)

the difference between players is to big. you have 1/3 table fish, 1/3 regs & 1/3 everything inbetween.
You will see opss triple barrel Ax high, and slow play sets too often

start playing small field slows as soon as you can or multitable hyper small fields.

I tell you man,for expml. the bronze weekly on PS has less control and more varience the than the damn lottery.

I find 80-120 ppl MTTs are good at that lvl, sit tight n you should find urself making it to many final tables the bigger the mtt the more luck becomes a factor since you will be called down light increasing varience

Played a few of these and have a few tips for you. First, only pick very good spots to bluff especially early on. Play tight for the most part and stay value oriented. Second, these people will be caught doing some crazy stuff so keep notes on the people that are shoving the flop with bottom pair, and the regs that actually make reasonable plays. Third, its going to be very tilting when you feel you are playing so far ahead of the curve and you might stoop down to their level because the results aren't going your way. Try to stay disciplined and make the correct plays.

Practice good BRM and you'll be fine

TAG is always good, you are always going to find people waiting to donate chips, but you have to open up your range when the antes start. As the money in the pot grows, you can take more chances. This is a good time to "change gears" and loosen up a little bit. If you play too tight, you will always find yourself short stacked and struggling in the middle of the tourney.

This helps a lot. I was trying to basically win the lottery and get up early on. The problem is there comes a point a few rounds in where that advantage disappeared. I think holding tight a couple levels then going in for the logo would work better.

Maybe a different style of play on the micro limits and MTT to MTT big game limits but is not significant!

I don't think the strategy should change whether your playing high stake or low stake, ur style is ur style. The only difference is half the field is playing for fun in the low stakes and the others are grinders. Super high variance with people just throwing it all in for next to no reason since there not concerned with losing a few dollars. I almost always get it in good to end in a suck out near the end

Tight-aggressive. It does not mean that you will win every AJ+ hand playing aggressive, however if you win, opponent at the table will play against you more respectable next time.

Very significant difference MTT games is a large number of participants and a considerable duration. If you want to succeed in the MTT must be prepared to go the distance to the end, which before the game to relax and have free time. At an early stage to try to keep calm and try to increase your bankroll to have a wider range of hands.

Best strategy for any stake MTT is to be able to adapt to your table and make decisions based on the opponents currently at your table. there is no clear cut strategy to play, must be able to adapt to your situation and stay around the chip average as best as possible to put your self in a position to win

My best advice to you is to remember that there is a LOT of casual players in micro MTT's that will not play ''standard''. I'd advice against bluffing and like people have allready said play tight''ish'' and capitalise on your good hands.

Yes. They are much more loose and chase more draws in micro. Sometimes they land them.

play as tight as a virgin's...you know...

they all chase four out draws and shove with a 2/3 offsuite. some get lucky and you'll just have to live with that. but playing at those stakes shouldn't tilt you anyway

The problem is they do it at least 5-6 times to you in a single tourney. They go all in too. Eventually they'll get you if you go in on it. It's better to fold that crap in micro.

the best strategy to play micros is simply late register by last 10-20 minutes
and play Aggressive and be good with shove / fold ranges
and focus on building nice stack
because micros contain lot of players and we cannot simply play beating that many people by playing hours over hours and win 1-2$
the focus of playing micro should be getting to FT where we would have real prizes to win
and another thing micros are like heaven for fishes who we can rip lot of value out of them with even a decent hand
So i suggest go for late registration and play like maniac or hyper agressor till u get decent stack and carry on playing normal game
which saves a lot of time and pain

Note the aggro players and tighten you range against them, but be prepared to call with weaker hands than you normally would when they shove.

AT+ would be easy calls :)

In the micro mtt, i, for example, play much hands, including connectors(even in early position). in the late position i play connectors, gappers, all pairs, to get a set(if it is small raise or absence it). If you will play tight, in more cases you will lose, because usually on the flop play many players, and even your AA can lose. It is only my strategy(9max mtt 45players)
