My ineptitude at playing big stacks is frustrating me. I seem to cash bigger when I sit down at the FT in MTTs with an average stack! For example, literally three times today I've final tabled in MTTs and gone in with SIGNIFICANT leads, only to either cash low or not cash at all. I actually dread it because it's like I know what's gonna happen and it just happens in front of me, I bleed chips.

So: any advice on the best approaches to playing significantly large stacks near the money?

I think it MAY be that I subconsciously react to the fear of loosening up and bleeding by actually tightening up, which cannot be good with a large stack. But I'll have to have an analysis session of today's shambles first!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are way more knowledgable people than I and hopefully they will way in later but one thing I noticed myself doing is changing my game away from what got me in that position in the first place...either tightening up to prevent chip loss or over loosening because of large chip stack..hang in there and gl

You tend to find that the shorter stacks do better at the final table because they have to be more aggressive. The bigger stacks can sometimes tighten up waiting for people to be knocked out.You should carry on doing what got you there in the first place.

Make sure you keep to the basics. Position and make sure you attack the weak players. Dreading having a big stack and knowing you will loss your chips is big leak.

I would like to know what you do what you do when you have an average or low stack since you find that is your comfort zone.

I am new to playing Poker and I am always conscious of the fact whether I will win or not. And in this confusion, I always end up with the bad result. Is there anything that like some tricks that we can keep in mind while playing this?
