Battle of Planets

Can anybody recommend this BOP on pokerstars ? Anyone here who plays this promotion ? Is there a real chance to win prizes ? I would like to play some 18mans for it...

i've made the top 10 on the high orbit twice in the $1 games. it's really difficult to make top 10 on low orbit so i would shoot for 100+ games and lower the number of tables you normally play so you can maximize your EV.
been a long time since i played this promotion but if the point system is set up the same it favors 6max sng's.
thats how i did it, with 6max.

Obs there is an element of run good needed but it's possible to place in BOP each week if you're a decent player.

I got 2nd on $7 low orbit before. Have never really grinded the SNGs enough to make it again. 27 man regular speed are the easiest way to do it.

You have a chance, sure. But you'd have to go on a sick heater. To top the $1-$2.99 this week you'd have to win 9 out of a block of 20 and cash in another to top the leaderboard, and today is only Monday. It's tough but it can be done. If you put in the volume, work on your game and run good you'll get there. Good luck.

Edit: The above applies to topping the leaderboard. If you did a block of 100 each week I'm sure you'd get something fairly often.

to make the top 10 you really need to run good but to just make the money on the leaderboard it can be done every week (or nearly) on high orbit imo. i haven't played too many 18mans in the past but if you have a solid ROI in those then you can/will make a few extra dollars to recoup some rake.

I have had a few good cashes in this including a 2nd and 3rd while playing 18 mans, so it can be done. My advice is not to worry to much and play the best poker you can and eventually you will get up there. Honestly I used to obsess a bit and was always checking my points situation which is just another thing you dont need to be worrying about.

In some ways 18 mans are the sweet spot because there is a good amount of points to grab and 9 less players to beat than the 27s.
