Alright, started a new month. Good luck to all for the month of August!

My goals for August...

1. Keep working on my tilt issues and stay out of the chat box
2. Work hard to make my bubble play better
3. Start learning and using SnG Wizard and get into a routine of reviewing HH's
4. Have a productive month (not spend all month recovering from nasty downswing) *wishes that was possible to control*:)

I am afraid to make any goals lol. Except for my live tournaments most of this year has been a massive fail so maybe if I just wing it August will be nice to me.

Yea - this month wasn't great but it was better. And it actually started off good - but then went downhill again. I can't blame him - in my session last week he found some major leaks and I knew I had not been playing great. I am hoping to fix that starting now!

My goals for August:

1) One FTP or more every day.

2) Have the HUD working properly for HEM for all the sites that I play at, and understand the relevance of those statistics that are always shown.

1.) get a pregame routine and stick to it.
2.) review my play more often(thinking setting a baseline eg. played x amount of game can't play more till I review)
3.) get some sort of ironman medal(gold maybe iron)
4.) setup a study session on sngwiz once a week.(I need to work at adjusting my ranges for regs vs recs)
5.) small stakes leader board.
6.) clear the rest of my mid-year ironman bonus.
7.) post atleast 10 HH's that I have question on or figure are interesting spots.

Yeah, I did make the one-a-day freeroll last month. So hopefully that will go over well (especially since I get to keep 100% of any winnings and don't have to share with TM LOL)

@ NWF- If you need any help with your HUD let me know. I've finally got all of it's nuances down pat.

Hi dg1267!
Can you expand about SnG Wizard?
What it's mean?

Hello, and welcome to CC and our SnG thread!

It's just a program (either standalone or as a Hold Em Manager Application) that (once figured out) can help you play a more perfect push/fold game in SnG's. You can go to their website and learn more, SitNGo Wiz

definately a fish. what i try to do is work on my bet sizing to get allin as quick as possible when i have a strong enough hand to do so. villians will often call then donk bet with any part of the flop or even with complete air. given this i like to raise a little higher on the flop and bet more towards fullpot on the turn. although if my hand is really strong and it's unlikely villian's range is very strong i'll often bet very weakly or flat calls thier bets given them a chance to bluff off there whole stack. the best thing to do in this case is to take a note on how he played the hand. it's not too late now either look him up and type it in. something like called raise in BB w/86s then donk bet then call raise on flop w/middle pair.

Thanks for the advice. I really wasn't looking for a shove, because it was still pretty early with the blinds being 30/60. If there was a shove, I would expect AK, AQ, etc... I didn't want to put my stack out there on a coin flip.

TPTK is the nutz in this game for the most part. You are crushing his range post flop and imo should be looking to get allin post flop. And icm says you should be more willing to flip early than later. You start with 11.11% equity and doubling up you got 20.28% equity. while this is a true double in equity it's as close as it will get as players drop you need greater equity to get allin. 11.11/20.28=54.78% which is equity needed to get allin on the first hand(excluding blinds). on the bubbly with equal stacks you have 25% equity if you double up you have 38.33% equity. 25/38.33%=65.22% equity need to get allin on the bubble with everyone having equal stacks. it's never good to take flips but be less willing to take them as the game goes on.

This month, one simple goal. Stop playing like a muppet.

"Hows that working out for you so far wiz?"

Well, thank you for asking. I could tell you, but i'd rather show you.

All moaning and whining aside, it's a combination of some poor calls/missed shoves, and running into tops of ranges. It seems like a pretty standard downswing. It's early days for this month, and i expect this graph to have changed by the end of August.. Hopefully..

Here's a spot I thought was interesting from today, SB is 9/6 and BB is 12/10 over about 100 hands... Thoughts?

Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BTN): 3,655.00
SB: 2,280.00
BB: 5,305.00

Pre Flop: (pot: 600.00) Hero has A:club: 7:club:

Less than 10bb's I'm shoving there with Axs. Gonna be tough to find a better spot than that.
