We can do the same with shoving ranges, what would you expect a decent player to be shoving with? what about a bad one? decent players will most likely be shoving looser and calling tighter, while bad ones call looser and shove tighter.
Every guy is differant though, some call loose and shove loose. some call tight and shove tight. A hud can help you develop reads, but its just about paying attention and trying to form reads, it might take a while till you get good, but keep trying.
When you are reviewing situations in SNG Wiz, it's good to play around in there, you can change stack sizes, calling and shoving ranges etc, that's how i got good, putting in differing situations and seeing how it affected things.
ill do one more, but this time lets make out the SB is us, and we will put ourselves in the shoes of the BB who is facing the all in call in that situation.
Ok, since were in the BB's shoes, lets say he is a decent player a regular, who has played with us before. What would be my shoving range here? well, a decent player is probably not going nuts here, it's all equal stacks, it's definately not a any two card shove here, i set it at 20% of hands, which, is around about correct. So, even though we hold a decent hand like AJ, he can probably assume, from watching me play, developing reads, that i have a sound knowledge of shove/fold, and with stack sizes id be shoving a tighter range here, thus, making AJ a fold.
However, in real play, hes probably calling with AJ, as he is probably not thinking into it as much. But you can see how bad calling there is.. -2.57 which is throwing away about 25%ROI
