Basically I just want to see any other opinions on any way I could have minimized my losses here/better play.
After looking over it I first thought shoving the river was bad, but at second thought it seemed like the only place I could get a fold out of rovirpa968 even though he makes Top 2 and checks after donk betting the flop and turn and just flatting raises.
Any thoughts...maybe just floating the turn...
After he donk bets/flats my raise on the flop I thought flush draw but a flush draw would probably check the turn.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I think your play was good, you just got rivered! You were betting consistantly, so you showed that you had a hand, he just would'nt come off which is understandable in his position. Really nothing else you could of done here. Atleast that's how i feel.

I'd be checking that river - the extra t1100 chips you'd win aren't worth as much as the t1100 you lose. Also, the villain is pretty committed by the river and isn't folding a better hand; about the only hand you beat that might get a call is AT, every other beatable hand the villain has effectively been bluffing and has abandoned the pot - just take it as it is and at least get to see what he was playing.

For me there are just too many hands that he could play this way: AJ,A8, AA, JJ, 88, J8, KK, AK, A4 to say nothing of a poorly played QT, K8, KJ, 44, J4.

Maybe at higher limits would of worked but perhaps but here at 2 dollars but if they call your reraise flop then a big raise on the turn, hes not going anywhere

I think you played the hand fine until the river. Since this was early in a re-buy, a villain could be taking a shot at a big hand here, even in spite of his betting pattern. The river card gives the villain too many ways to beat you at this point. I could see calling a bet, but not a shove.

*** FLOP *** [Jd 8d Ac]
rovirpa968 bets 300

rovirpa968 calls 450
*** TURN *** [Jd 8d Ac] 4♥

Does the villain really need to turn his hand over to tell you that you are way behind here??

After the flop whilst you had top pair and a good kicker so many hands had you dominated here you should have def slowed it down to minimize the amount you lose on a hand like this

when he called your raise on the flop you should have slowed it down, after he calls another huge raise on the turn you know he will call anything on the river as basically he has already lost the hand or is ahead of you

did you not consider a set or even Q10 and someone who could'nt fold a gutshot

it seems you decided he had a flush draw and chased and missed it so maybe it was just a bad read on your part shake it off and move on at least you are one of the players at $2 actually thinking about your game
