***April Sng Thread***

Has to be better than March!

1. Maintain my Gold Star status
2. Play at least 600 sng's.
3. Watch every sng video I can get my hands on at Stox in case they don't move them to CR.
4. Cash in 1 of the 2 tournaments I play in at the Spring Break Poker Classic in Biloxi next week!

Hmm ok best make some goals

Grind at least 100 sngs a week
Add an extra table or two
Profit
Hit silver as side effect of the grind
Try and learn some math of poker (really learn not just oh well I only have to call this much so must be good pot odds or I have maybe 30% chance of hitting lol try to actually learn the numbers)

2.break intothe top 20 total profit on shark scope for $2-$5 games at least top 20, id be happy with top 10..
3.get either a bigger screen or set up two screens so i can 24 table instead of 15 table. hopefully i can get two screens set up so i can 30 table
4.keep clearing bonuses on stars.. wont be aiming for anything special this year. already too far behind. .but next year will be going for supernova again. maintain at least gold.. hopefully if i get close enough ill push for platinum, bit hard at the 3.40's though lol.. unless i mix in cash games.

yeah it would be good to have someone to push me to play a bit more.. if you can get decent volume.. you should be able to get supernova playing the 11's. i think ill be able to do it playing 6.50's mixed with a few 16's or 11's

1. Put in a decent amount of volume (~15 HU sng's a day)
2. Make Silverstar
3. Get my ROI up to an unrealistic 20%+

But it's ok, seems relatively achievable, the games are pretty soft at 10$+50c HU.

Nah - could never do it playing the $11's - there is no way I could get in the volume it would take and maintain it for 12 months. I am limited on my number of tables due to my vision - already have a 23" monitor and anything bigger is just blah lol. I also haven't mastered multi-tabling enough to keep the errors down to a reasonable rate. The worst problem I have is when I type over the bet and then it moves my cursor to another table requiring action - and my bet gets entered beside the min bet instead of on top of it causing me to go all in when I only wanted to raise. It happens a lot but I catch it most of the time - however it put me out of 2 tournaments on Tuesday. That would only get worse with more tables.

yeah i highly reccomend table ninja, its a really good program.. i have all my actions on my mouse so all i need to do it move it around the screen and click.

Can you 30 table. Thougt it was impossible. Really 30 tables. I need to see that for myself.

i have 30 tabled before.. but my screen is too small to be able to tile them. i can 20 table atm, but the overlap is pretty bad, so i stick to 15. if i get another screen i should easily get in 30.

i think the record is elky with 62 tables at once.. haha, crazy man.

but yeah 20-30 tables is the standard these days..

3.go up to 3.40 on stars

I know what cascading is - I am just worried about not keeping up with what is going on at the other tables I can't see. I might try a 6 game session like that today and see how it goes.

I used the trial and thought it was an amazing piece of software. If I was playing SnGs it'd be almost as high a priority to have as HEM/PT3

Is stacking just literally having one table on top of another etc?

Yes. The upside is that there is virtually no mouse movement involved, and so no huge need for external add-ons like table ninja since the poker software pops up the most urgent table anyway.

Also, I think it's nice as a tilt avoider since you don't see the result of showdowns.

The downside is that you can't follow the action at other tables. So you are strictly relying on your HUD for reads, and post session analysis. But when you play a huge number of tables, that's true regardless of your setup anyway.

If you really want to try that, move down two levels and play 2 or 3 times the amount of SNGs you usually do. It's going to feel a little bit like a video game, but it should be fun.

As each time I start posting goals I didn't reach them (and even try to reach them shame on me ), I decided to post only infos about how goes my month.
So as said on March thread, I switched to turbo 6 max SNGs.
I passed the 6.5$ stage and now moved up to the 13$ ones.

Looks like the step isn't very high and I feel already like home after my first 25 SNG's today with a 56% ITM and 35% ROI.
So I obviously ran good : last session I made 9/11 ITM (I bubbled the other 2) which has to be my all time record !

Have to see it through the month but I should be able to maintain the same ROI than in 6.5$ ones (around 12%).
Gonna try to post progresses here (maybe not daily but at least 1 or twice a week)

recap of last months goals. ill make some for this month and post later(i'm sure you all looking forward to it)


1. 500 SNGs
-- 1067 total 7.5% roi
2. review previous days session before playing new session
-- did this all but last 3 days of month and my results sems to show it too.
3. really work on my calling ranges
-- i make a lot better calls but still need to work on this
4. try to figure out HEM filters to help with #3
-- i made a few but havent been using them enough
5. atleast "gold" ironman medal
-- wooho i got gold
6. watch more videos
-- i watched and rewatched some videos
7. finish phil shaws book
-- failed got some read still plugging away at it
8. post more hands(1 to 2 a week)
-- failed but did post more than i have in the past.
9. mark 5-10 hands per session and review them after
-- fail i marked a ton of hands and never seem to go though them. went through i ton of them now i dont seem to mark as many anymore.
