Anyone think the $2.20 MTT SnG Satellite could be profitable?

Anyone tried grinding out these?

36 runners, 6 get paid ($11 ticket)

You would have to get a ticket 1 out of 4 minimal to make a profit. If you could only manage it 1 out of 4 times, you would be making $1.00 profit. Obviously if you could turn over 1 out of 3 then this $5.00 profit but this seems maybe to much.

Any thoughts? Top 6 out of 36 really doesn't seem that hard to achieve.

What site? Is the buy in $2.20 or $2.20 + XX?
The reason I ask is, if it's $2.20, you play 4 and win 1:

(1*$11)- (4 * $2.20) = $11 - $8.80 =$2.20 or 25% ROI

1 out of three:

(1*$11)- (3 * $2.20) = $11 - $6.60 =$4.40 or 66% ROI

I played those sats on pokerstars and they are a nice bankrollbuilder in my opinion. Low variance and you have to win 1 out of 5 to be break even. 7th place gets 6 dollars. 6 people qualify for the Sunday 1/4 million, but i always take the tourney dollars. Play with common sense on the bubble and tight early - it´s an easy game with a lot of weaker players. But they dont fill up fast...

Yeah it is $2.20 total and I worked it out as 4.1 as well.

Just wondering what the fields are like and if you can actually profit from them. Obviously ideal situation would be 2 out of 5 but probs not possible.

Why did you stop playing them? And how many game did you play and what sort of profit did you make from them?

Did'nt realise 7th got money, which makes them slightly better..

I've noticed they don't fill up quickly which is slightly frustrating.

these are non-turbo right?

If non turbo, they should be crushable by a good player without a doubt. Turbo you'd need to have good push/fold. The problem with non-turbo is you can't run volume on them

Way back when i used to play the 2.20 to 11 that played as an MTT to grind roll. Profitable ROI-wise, but took forever to play them. Very good though when my game was less developed though - helped it along too.

I add the non-turbo ones in to fill out my tournament/SNG sets when I'm multi-tabling. They are pretty easy to cash at a decent rate.

Ya, they are good for your bankroll. If you are a sat. shark, it also gives you a chance to hit the big one that you otherwise wouldn't be able to play.
