Any tips on how to refocus after break

Im playing on ACR right now on the $25,000GTD mtt 20+2 buy in. I saw that last weeks game lasted around 10 hrs. after a few hours, it easy to slip away from playing your best and before you know it , you break away and chip away your stack.

Sundays are tournament day, so im sure everyone is out to get it today. But what do you do when the break comes and what are good tips for re adjusting and refocusing on the big picture, which is FT im assuming and playing your best overall...I can think of a few basic things like.

-water break
-strategize as level goes up
-check out chipstack on table
-stretch
-positive reinforcement
- shake off bad beats

So im curious to know what do you guys do to help yourself get comfortable and stay in the zone and play through a mtt

I think you are on the right track. I would add that when you take a break you need to find a way to focus your mind on something else for a short time. Whether that be looking at some FB posts, reading a short new article or just looking outside and appreciating the day. That way your brain also gets that break it needs.

When you come back then you can check out the chip stacks, figure out what advantages you have on players at the table and things like that.

turn off anything that could distract you in a certain way,splash you face with a cold water any time you feel that you are getting distracted, and if you have a stress toy - use it. Good luck!

after 5-6 hours during the break you should be getting up for the full 5 mins. Maybe take longer if need be, take some fresh air in and make sure your taking in enough water. If you feel like your tilting, just try and talk to people and ask them for help.

if you're bored of MTT, switch to cash or sng's, there you spend much less time.

close eyes and have some tea. And nothing to think about! For a 5 minute or some more (depending on starting break pause)

stand up from the chair. walk a little. stretch is good. drink water. WC if u need. eat something. :)

For me, it would take a lot more than a 5 minute break to get me out of focus That's just enough time to go to the bathroom and get something to drink. For that one you are playing you better not lose focus at all. Stay focused on that FT GL
