I would register 1 hour after having started as it has an extensive late registration, play safe and calmly, it is a long tournament, so you will need a lot of patience and analyze your opponents as best you can.. GL

You need to have a strategy to play such tourneys.1)- Must have ample time 10-15 hours to play without any technical or fundamental disturbances.

2)- As the reg fees is very small $5.5. You will find lot of re buys.
Your must understand that if you can re buy 2-3 times then you should play aggressive that is to build a good decent stack. But if you are not willing to re buy then you need to play a solid poker game that is premium hands and positions.
Your goal is to build a good stack size say 40 BBs till the middle level of the game say up to 3-4 hours of the game and once you get successful in that then try to hunt shallow stack players which will give a tremendous boost to your stack size.
Once you are in the money then it is all about your table image and skills.
In the final 9, only skill matters.

You should understand re buy tourneys have great volatility till re buys availability.

is not for nothing but the strategy for slow tournaments is a single nothing of inventions just play slow remember is a long tournament and is not rewarded to the one who makes more chips fast but the one who arrives I repeat it this is not 100 meters palno is a marathon plays slow and that pride does not take that away if you must be aggressive sometimes and never try to steal blinds starting or defend indefensible carts
