Tonight I'm playing for the first time the Big Bang Main Event.
Does anyone have experience with this tournament, give me some advice, explain what the players do, are they all-in a lunatic like in freerolls or there are serious players. Any good advice and help will be useful and I'll be grateful.

I have played a few teams and almost all of the players are serious and not many if any all in lunatics.
As you know it was hard to get your entry, which has a value of between $5-$10 so play it the same way as you would a buyin of that amount.
If you go all in with AA or KK your chances of getting a call are slim so it will likely turn out to be a waste of your preflop monster.
Good luck.
I want you to post your cash here. :)

Thank you very much for the advice.
Is that means if someone pays in most cases he hit the hand. Can you give me some advice:
- about the bluff, for my and for theirs.
- for the bubble. What is better, to go all-in or it is better to raise 4-5kBB.
- about 3bet, should I take it seriously.

With the big hands I was speaking about getting called pre flop.
After the flop take the game seriously and play it as you would any other serious game. It is good poker against mostly good players.

I tried to get a ticket to that tournament a lot of times. Always failed :(. Got to the last two tables 2 times in the satellite(9 tickets awarded) and managed to get one time two finishes in a row in the top 400 in the open skill league. Good luck.

First to thank you all for advices and for asking how I was. I really appreciate it.

Great experience for me but the next time I'll look to be more relaxed. I know how to play but last night I was under some kind of pressure, I do not know why. I've already played the big tournaments of $10 and $16, but I do not know why I was so scared like never before.

When I finally relaxed and started to play my normal play I didn't have luck. In one game guy got 9 on the river with which he made straight, even though I've putted a big raise before the turn and the river to get him out of draw but he was stubbornly stupid to continue and eventually he had luck and took half of my stack.
Two hands after that, I got AKs and raise 3BB preflop but the guy next to me on the button put all-in. Then I had left about 10BB so I had no choice. He showed KK and on the flop came A and K but that couldn't help me against KK.

Edit: I must add this, last night and tonight also I had so bad beats and bad luck that I can not explain. So many bad beatings that I thought that someone deliberately scr... me :)

I 2 qualified like this to one of them, came in 27th in the big bang, didnt see any shoves with any two cards but rather when they had it, like AA or KK sometimes shoves AK, the most light shove i saw there was 78suited, but he guy just had chips and took a lot of gamble, but apart from him, others pretty much played ABC poker.
One advice i can give u that can help u a lot, is, when u get reraised on every of your bet, just fold the hand, u r dragged to the cleaners :D

Shame it didn't go as planned but at least it seems more like variance than bad play, so that should be a positive anyway.

Best of luck for the next time you get into the main event and at least now you know what the field of players can generally be like.

I've only actually played in 1 BB before (November last year) and managed to cash but only for a min cash, unfortunately. I actually almost made it into yesterday's but came 14th in one of the last satellites :O

Just that happened to my raise of 3BB, the guy re-raise me and it turned out that he is serious ... he had KK. But as I wrote, I had very little BB and I had AK hand. It wasn't my night.

Today I made my first step for Big Bang in March. Today I've finished at 314th place in PSO League. Only two more times to win a place under 400 and I will earn a ticket for the Big Bang. I will use this thread for my road to the Big Bang, everyone is welcome who wants to join me. Maybe I'll inspire you to earn a ticket like me and in March to finish in the money together.
Good luck to all.

Thanks for your support, I hope that we will qualify for the next BB in March, and then I'll see you at the final table :)
For sure. I should certainly be able to get back into the ME anyway considering I didn't think about it until too late this time around and almost made it in right away.

I'm coming for that W next time though so you'll have to be happy with 2nd place at best ;)

I tried to get a ticket several times. Always the same problem: I played not so bad, placed in a good place and than I got feared. Always fold on big bets and my stack got lower and lower and the blinds took everything away and I was out :-(

My second attempt to finish below the 400th place wasn't successful. I have to start all over again from the beginning. Maybe it will be better to play game for 9 tickets than PSO League. I do not know why is called Poker School League, should be called flip the coin League.

This will be interesting for those who want to finish three times below the 400th place in the PSO League and on that way get a ticket for Big Bang.
Last night I finished under 400th place, again. How did I played. I've waited for premium hand and played only if I was sure that I have the nuts. I didn't want to to play like I use to, it was boring and hard to watch how they play with trash while I trough away solid hands like Ajo, ATo etc.
I didn't play small aces, if I don't hit the flop I throw away my hand and so on.
When I got AA-TT I played that hand with standard raise and after the flop I tried to get more chips in the middle, of course my play depended on the situations on the flop. When I gathered around 10,000 chips then I stopped to play. That was enough to finish in the 363rd place with around 9.000 players from start.
All this took me about 2 hours.

you probably need to loosen up a bit. You are probably folding hands you dont need to on the button and in the cut-off. Don't be affraid to lead out and get a call, in the end if you let the hand go or you flop a dream it all still leads to notes on the player, and the fish always show themselves.

What works best for me is never get attached to a hand and read the board and player habbits

You have the right for everything you said but after so many bad beats on the river by a fish I've decided for this tactic. Yes, in some moments I'm playing with 89s and rest of mediocre hands, but only in some special situations.
I do not like to play like this but against so many crazy players who will push with A6o when he see A on the flop I don't want to take my chance with ATs against his crazy luck, even I know at that moment that I have better hand. I'm talking about this from my experience and that is reason why I decided to play like this.

Many times I said that freerolls and PSO league will spoil my game. I urgently needed a decent bankroll with which I would be able to play tournaments in which players play normal game or I will begin to hate poker. Obviously that I'm not some lucky guy in poker and I do not want for my game to be based on luck but I can't accept stupidity in play with a lot of luck. I do not care if I lost from someone who is better player of me or worst player if he outplayed me.
I held up my strategy to play only with strong hands and with some mediocre hands from late position to fulfill my goal to get to 400 seats and everything was going well. Somewhere near the middle of the game far away from the bubble, blinds was 100/200/20 and I was in the BB. Everyone folds to the smart guy in the SB with $4.120 stack who raised all-in. In that moment I had $2.300 so it was perfect for me to call his raise, a special because I had AQs.
I saw his play and I know that he probably has some small ace in the best case scenario but also is possible that he has nothing because he saw my play and he decided to push to steal blinds from me.
I understand that play and I don't have anything against that. On my play that I showed until that time it will be enough to raise just normal raise of 3-4 BB and probably I would fold my hands if I didn't get good hand for strategy that I've made for this PSO game. On that way he wouldn't risk many chips for chance that I got some premium hand, he can't know because I was in BB and I'm playing after him. I would understand his push if I showed some other way of play and if I was in many confrontations before this hand but I didn't.
Like I said I called and showed my AQs and he showed A3o just like I thought it will be, small ace or nothing. The first three cards have not helped anyone, the turn also and then the river cards comes and it was 3 so the end of game for me.

Why I'm so p... off. If I've played any other tournament and would not be pissed, sh!t is happening and what you can do. But this kind of tournament with this kind of player with their rang of hands what they play and their over betting and the preflop pushes with pairs of 6's or 3's, like the post flop all-in play with one pair on the flop or even better with AK when they are completely missed the flop and thinking that AK is strong enough to win after check-check-check on the flop of 9-T-5. Then, after all its clever play they are so lucky to get that ace or king at the end of streat. When another player who called his raise show his hand you can't believe with which hand he calls and also you can't believe with which hand raiser have made all-in.
I can not stand that anymore.

At this point, I wondering what am I doing here, and whether these people have little desire to learn to play poker and also I'm wondering if I am the fish at the table, or I lose my patience against these players and then make a wrong move.
How a serious player, who plays much longer and better than me, would played against these kind of players and what kind of success he'd have.
I do not play a long time and I do not have much experience but I think that I get this game much better than them for short time of my playing, even if I lose against them.

Do I need just little luck on my side and when I say that luck is on my side I think that they have no luck against my correctly calculated play, or I am completely wrong on this and maybe I'm a fish at the table.

I stopped playing today because of that friend. Simply because there's no way to play when you're loosing AA to 86o. Just let go, brieth and get back to your game another day.

For me it is not problem losing with AA against someone who has a good starting hand and the flop comes to his hand. You can't say that AA will win every hand. My problem is when I raise 3-4BB and they see my way of playing and then they want to be smart and try to scare me with all-in. After that they show 86o like you said and flop come something like 5-7-9. Ooo man, then I get angry, really angry.
If some one has TT or JTs and pay my raise and we continue our play on the flop and then I lose with my AA I do not have problem with that, that is game.

By the way your advice is really good and I've made little break for few days and last night I finished ITM on ETP Live.
